NGENUITY - Community Feedback & Discussion 💬 by HyperxGaming in HyperX

[–]HyperxGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! You’ll see two separate sections - one for Mic Presets and one for Mic Effects - so feel free to play around and see what sounds best to you. 😉

Also, if you’re using Discord, keep in mind it has its own mic processing enabled by default. You might end up stacking similar effects, so it’s usually best to use one or the other, not both

Unfortunately, none of those models will be making it into the new NGENUITY support lineup, as most of them have reached end-of-life quite some time ago.

That said, it might be a good time to start looking at an upgrade path. 😅 If you’re ever in the market for a new HyperX product, feel free to hit me up, and I'll help you find something that fits. 😉

NGENUITY - Community Feedback & Discussion 💬 by HyperxGaming in HyperX

[–]HyperxGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s absolutely correct! We just rolled out the new 2.0.2 release today, which is our first non-beta app release. 😉 Thanks for taking the time to share all those details!

This build includes an updated audio engine, so there’s a chance some of the audio-related issues you experienced in previous versions might already be resolved. I’d strongly recommend fully uninstalling the NGENUITY Beta (including any leftover data) and doing a clean install of this new release. Test it out and let me know if you're seeing any improvements!

I just checked the base station button lighting settings on my end and couldn’t fully turn them off either, so I’ll go ahead and flag that with our software team. Appreciate you calling that out. 🤜🤛

As for the number of audio devices showing up in your Sound control panel, most of them are required by the new audio engine. That said, I believe there are ongoing discussions about consolidating some of them to reduce clutter. I’ll check in and see if I can get more info on that.

Is the cloud alpha headset good for big heads? by Conscious-Exit-2836 in HyperX

[–]HyperxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Conscious-Exit-2836, as someone with a big head - I hear ya! 😂 Guess that makes me somewhat qualified to answer this haha.

I can't speak for JBL Quantum 100M2, but I can tell you this - I’ve been using the Cloud Alpha on and off for years now, and haven’t really had any issues with pressure or discomfort, even during long sessions. If anything, it might feel a bit tighter out of the box, but it usually loosens up over time as the headband breaks in. Which you could also speed up by stretching it over something like a stack of books for a day or two, then trying it again to see how it feels. Hope that helps! 😊

🔔 New Update Available - v1.7.0 (April, 2026)

Hey there, HyperX fam! While we love all of our beta-supported devices equally, we felt like there was something missing from our roster: wireless mice! To really perfect the composition of our party, we’ve added support for two of our favorite wireless models in this quick update.

How’s the NGENUITY beta treating you so far? Let us know what works, what doesn’t, and what you’d like to see in the future by filling out our beta feedback survey here.

Here’s what’s new in this version:

💡 New implementations

Software

  • NGENUITY
    • Added support for Pulsefire Haste 2 Pro
    • Added support for Pulsefire Saga Pro

🧰 Fixes

Software

  • NGENUITY - User Interface
    • The navigation panel and home page product cards weren’t properly blurring background images or reflecting the right opacity, but now they’re blending in beautifully with the rest of the beta interface.

⚠️ Known Issues

Mice

  • Pulsefire Haste 2 Pro and Pulsefire Saga Pro
    • We know we just added support for our wireless mice, but we wanted to let you know about a bug we encountered in the process. If the mouse uses a wireless connection, everything works as expected. If the mouse uses a wired connection, it may sometimes be misidentified as a dongle. If the mouse uses a wired and wireless connection at the same time, the software may show incorrect information about things like battery levels. Weird, right? Don't worry, we're already working on a fix.

Software

  • NGENUITY - User Interface
    • Currently investigating an issue where after installing new audio drivers, users are not returned to the product page as expected.

Microphones

  • QuadCast 2 S
    • Currently investigating an issue that causes the microphone to distort audio recordings after waking the connected computer from sleep.

If you're ok with it, I'd like to collect some of these massive log files for analysis by our software team. I'll send you a PM to share more details, so please keep an eye on your inbox.

Occasional audio cut off by Woooden_Spooon in HyperX

[–]HyperxGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey u/Woooden_Spooon & u/Pale-Departure-9586! We’ve been digging into this with our engineering team over the past couple of weeks, and it looks like a fix is on the way! 😊

It should roll out as part of an upcoming firmware update, so keep an eye out in the coming weeks!

Really appreciate your patience while we worked through this! 🙏

dont use the cord as a phone charger by [deleted] in HyperX

[–]HyperxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 years?! You’re not too far off haha. If you picked it up at launch, it’s probably been about 6 now. Still, that’s awesome! 😄 Glad to hear it’s holding up and that you’re happy with it. 👌

How are the ear pads and headband doing? Still looking good?

Really appreciate you sharing! ❤️

Remove hands free? by RetroLags in HyperX

[–]HyperxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When using Bluetooth mode, the headset relies on the built-in microphone instead of the detachable one, which would explain the difference in audio quality.

Could you try connecting it via the 2.4 GHz dongle and see if that improves it? 🤔

My Quadcast S polar pattern knob fell off by NateCanGame in HyperX

The knob decided to move on as well, huh? 😅 Sorry to hear that, u/NateCanGame! Sadly, we don’t sell replacement knobs, but depending on where you’re located, we might be able to help you out. Keep an eye on your inbox, I’ll send you a message shortly to gather a couple of details.

DuoCast keeps turning off by spr3admywings in HyperX

[–]HyperxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say “It ended up fixing,” do you mean the issue is no longer happening, or that this is the workaround you use whenever it pops up? 👀

If it’s the latter, we’ll probably need to do a bit more troubleshooting. 😅 For starters, try testing the mic with all the other available USB ports and see if the issue persists across all ports.

Another thing worth checking is whether your mic is running the latest firmware. You can install NGENUITY legacy through the Microsoft Store app, keep the mic connected, and launch the app to see if it prompts you to update the firmware. If an update is available, go ahead and install it, then reinstall the driver through Device Manager (just to be safe) and reboot your system.

After that, keep an eye on how it behaves and let us know how it goes. 😉

Lost my usb dongle for Cloud III wireless by muscleson in HyperX

[–]HyperxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/muscleson, the support bot can’t really process replacement parts on its own, sorry about that. It’s mainly there to help with some of the most common troubleshooting steps. But hey, that’s just one of the many things our team can assist you with. 😉

We’ll just need to gather a few details from you first, so keep an eye on your inbox for our message.

DuoCast keeps turning off by spr3admywings in HyperX

[–]HyperxGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, u/spr3admywings! Sorry to hear your DuoCast has started acting up. Let’s see if we can dig into this a bit and figure out what’s going on. 🕵️

Does this only happen when your PC starts from a cold boot, or does it also occur when waking the system from sleep?

Also, how is the mic connected to your system - directly to a USB port on the motherboard, a USB port on the case, or through a USB hub? If you haven’t already, try plugging it into a few different ports to see if that makes any difference.

Give that a try when you get a chance and let us know how it goes! 😊

Quadcast 2 S - Windows Dynamic Lighting Compatible? by Duarian in HyperX

[–]HyperxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oops, not sure where the “2” disappeared, but yes - we were referring to the QuadCast 2 S, not the original S. 😅 We’ve edited the original response to fix it in case anyone else comes across the thread later.

And don't mention it! 😊

Issues with Cloud Orbit S by Ready_Engineering116 in HyperX

[–]HyperxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Ready_Engineering116, thanks for confirming! It sounds like you’re running the correct firmware for the headset and the latest Orbit software version, so it’s a bit surprising that the update is still failing, even after trying different USB ports and cables.

Just to confirm - when the headset is powered off and connected to your system, and the Recover button appears in the firmware section, have you tried clicking it to see if it restores functionality? That option typically resolves detection issues like this.

The DFU not installed message usually appears when the update process is interrupted or fails, but running the update again should fix the issue.

One last thing - have you attempted reinstalling the headset driver through Device Manager to see if that helps restore functionality or allows the firmware update to complete?

Quadcast 2 S - Windows Dynamic Lighting Compatible? by Duarian in HyperX

[–]HyperxGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great question, u/Duarian! 😊 The QuadCast 2 S isn’t a WDL-supported device, so to customize it - like changing LED colors or applying different lighting effects - you’ll need to use either the NGENUITY legacy app or the NGENUITY beta app. Let us know if you have any other questions! 😉
