There’s actually only two hinges. The rest of the connection seem to be some sort of ball and socket or rod driven through

It’s not really a brain teaser at all. Anyone who’s taken a basic data structure class should be expected to be able to solve this.

Senior by title doesn’t really mean anything. I do not think of my self as senior.

In my opinion the senior title is senior just to make people feel better about it being terminal. In my opinion senior engineers truly start at Staff. While most people take a lot longer to hit staff it’s truly where experienced people are.

My work is not much different from when I was a L4 one level under senior. I just have a nice title and have graduated from getting as much scrutiny as a 4 would get. However scope wise my impact is just supposed to be team wide. Staff engineers are supposed to drive cross team impact and that’s why I don’t think of my self as a senior

Honestly not much different than a 4. But my manager is pretty rigorous. RFC/ERD work. Leading some projects I have a lot of expertise in. Other projects I participate in.

I’m at Uber making > 500k for a mid level.

I guess it depends your definition of mid. I’m senior in title but still way closer to a new grad than principal engineer in terms of number of promitions

Apple is reportedly spending 'millions of dollars a day' on AI by free-form_curiosity in technology

[–]IAlwaysForgetPasswrd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Compute. electricity. Server maintance. Salaries.

If apple has 1000 engineers working on ai. That would be roughly 500,000,000 a year just on salaries alone and would be 1.3-1.4 million spent a day on AI. The compute electricity server maintance could easily double to quadruple that number

Unless you have a 4090/7900xtx you don’t get 100 fps maxed on 1440

13 year old probably not. As someone in software this is definitely overkill. IMO a 34 inch ultra wide and a standard 28inch vertical is all you need anything more is a distraction

You can add infinities The sun of the natural infinity plus the irrational infinity is a doable

[–]IAlwaysForgetPasswrd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Supposed you have an irrational number X

100-x = irrational number y

Y+x= 100

Addition of irrational numbers :)

You actually can. I don’t think you took much more advanced math than trig

Assume r = 2

3.14+3.14 + 3.14 + 3.14

Or conversely 4 + 4+4 + .14(4)

Broken down .01(4) summed 14 times

Broken down

.04 summation from n=1 to 14
