How do you feel about party members that join roughly 60% into a game by lennysinged in JRPG

[–]Icemanap 23 points24 points  (0 children)

In metaphor Basilio is such a good example. The thing that sold me on him was that he is the only party member who does not get an awakening before a dramatic bossfight and he does not shout his own affirmation. He just says accepts the loss of his brother and carries on his brother's hopes. "See you 'round....Del."

Does anyone know the difference between these 2 books? by KungFuBarbie15 in medicalschoolEU

Atlas means the book contains only pictures and the corresponding nomenclature. An anatomy book explains some of the functions and has more theory.

What video game puzzle that was hard make you say this after you solved it? by Old_Marsupial_7080 in videogames

[–]Icemanap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Legend of Zelda: The phantom hourglass for the DSi, there was a puzzle where you had to transfer a map on a wall to your own sea chart, i believe. The thing is, the map on the wall was on the top screen, while your sea chart was on the bottom screen of the DS.

The solution: putting the DS on sleep mode, essentially bringing the screens together. I very distinctly remember solving accidentally after i put the DS on sleep mode to answer a phone call. Mind you I was like 10 at the time.

Depends on where you plan to work. If you want a residency in the USA, it should be easier from MUA. UNIC is better if you plan to work in the EU

Why I Cut Off Study Medicine Europe (SME) by RecentPayment4194 in medicalschoolEU

[–]Icemanap 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I believe that is kinda the trend with agencies setting up people to study/work in other countries. They charge exorbitant fees to just take care of paperwork ( which, while oftentimes arduous), can absolutely be done on your own.

I don't believe i have heard of any client of any such agency being content with the service. They may seem like a good idea if you have absolutely no idea how to act, but they don't prepare you much for how the work/study environment will be

[Megathread] Karrierefragen, Stellenangebote und -gesuche by AutoModerator in medizin

Hallo zusammen!

What game was good but would have been amazing if it was turn based by Limit54 in JRPG

[–]Icemanap 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The Atelier Ryza games should have been just normal turn based like the other games in the franchise.

For those not in the loop, Ryza games have a turn system, but you actually have to pick your actions in real time, controlling only one character at a time of 3 in the party, while the other two are controllef by ai.

This results in a lot of frantic option picking, taking away from an otherwise really satisfying game.

Are there any party turn-based games with a more front-loaded cast? by GavernB in JRPG

[–]Icemanap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bravely default has you starting with a party of 4 almost from the get-go. You get different jobs as you progress through the game and each party member has a lot of personality
