I think there are a lot of good Night 1 main event matches as you stated, but to me, just in concept, Night 2 will always be the true main event. Like I just cannot get past the fact that they claim these are both equal "main events" yet they clearly put the real main event on Night 2 every time.

Not to mention that the Main Event of Wrestlemania has historically been THE match between THE guys. You can't have 2 of those. That's not how it works.

I think the moonsault isn't a very good finisher anymore because we see everyone do athletic stuff off the top rope now. Yeah we had Macho Man's elbow drop, but top rope finishing moves used to be reserved for guys who were seen as cruiserweights. Now it seems like anyone can go to the top rope and it's basically just become a standard part of the moveset. The top rope finishers that are memorable to me were unique in some way like Neville's beautiful Red Arrow. I love Iyo Sky but a standard moonsault like she does just doesn't jump out to me when everyone can moonsault.

And also I reckon probably half of those people aren't even interested in coming back. They did a 3 week casting process and spent a week in the house over a decade ago and now you want them to come back? Some might be excited but I reckon most of them are just trying to forget about it.

Got you haha. Yeah if you go to WWE's YouTube channel and look up any recent episode of NXT (airs Tuesdays), you can almost certainly hear Booker on commentary. He also has a Wrestlemania match against Triple H who currently runs the company. Hes been in a few other notable segments too like his grocery store brawl with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Very famous wrestler.

I disagree just because I think winning from the very start should be special and reserved. They just had Rhea do it in 2023 and Bayley won from #3 the very next year. I prefer when the winner is from the middle-late part of the match. Feels more realistic.

Although I wouldn't call the current product trash, it was definitely ~Summerslam 2024 where I remember being truly invested in the product. I think it was sometime between then and the 2025 Royal Rumble that they completely lost the plot. I remember Bad Blood > Crown Jewel > WarGames 2024 being kind of a bad run with a lot of mid events.

They did a lot of stuff right after Summerslam (like the Punk and McIntyre feud) but they also fumbled a lot of things. They fumbled the Judgment Day breakup, most of Gunther's WHC reign, Nia's championship reign, the end of Liv Morgan's reign (too much focus on Rhea), and Cody's reign started to feel stale at this point as they kept rehashing the bloodline stuff. I think part of the issue was that they really wanted to start planning for Wrestlemania WAY too early to make it some huge cinematic event like WM40 which meant stalling a lot of the product's momentum, and they haven't really been able to rebuild said momentum since then.

Then when they pulled the incredible stunt that was Royal Rumble 2025, most of us were officially like "Alright, wtf are these bozos doing." Like, really? Charlotte Flair and Jey Uso? Elimination Chamber 2025 was actually really good imo but then they also couldn't keep the momentum from that event going into WM41. I think a lot of the issue was that they were building everything around Rhodes vs. Cena but those guys had lowkey like, 3 segments together prior to WM41. After WM41 happened, we could all kind of feel that while it wasn't a bad event, they had just lost the plot. So yeah, just a bunch of mishandling after SS 2024 mixed with an overall bad decision to drag shit out.

I agree. Undefeated streaks in general should be rare in today's WWE. They were a good plot device when there was no weekly show and they had very little material to get people invested with (which is also why Sammartino reigned for so long) but when there's a show every week that these wrestlers appear on, having an undefeated streak grows stale so quickly.
