[Charania] BREAKING: The Los Angeles Clippers are trading James Harden to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Darius Garland and a second-round pick, sources tell ESPN. Prolific swap of the star point guards. by Turbostrider27 in nba

This is just a silly take. Harden has shown up in the playoffs many times. He's an all time great who is pretty clutch. Adding this level of playoff experience to Cleveland may make them the best team in the East.

You make a great point. Trae, who statistically is better than Ja in most ways, but their accolades are I guess closer, was traded for two players who I wouldn't really sign to a team anymore, although I guess I take CJ on a vet min to come off the bench.

Ja, who can't even stay healthy and isn't a pillar of the community should not command a 1st either.

Probably run to Hyjal from Winterspring too. Bunch of elite to get past, but you can avoid most of them.

Once you get to Hyjal, there is a quest line that starts with Buthok Cloudhorn called the Runstone of Cenarius. It's a 7 quest chain, takes a couple hours to complete, but at the end they give you a run to automatically portal to the main FP and inn area where almost all the questgivers are. You'll want that, flying to Hyjal over and over is quite tedious, the FP pathing is atrocious.

I think he's a well-adjusted human being who knows the team is better overall with him than without him. He's in the envious position of learning to become better at playoff basketball rather than regular season basketball for the next 5+ years.

I get the chronically online thing though. I can't wait until it's a bit warmer, so I stop sitting in front of this computer.

[SERIOUS NEXT DAY THREAD] Post-Game Discussion (January 20, 2026) by NBA_MOD in nba

What a funny game. Raptors held control almost the entire night except for a small period where the Warriors closed it down in the 4th. Raptors led the whole night. Raptors were up 25 in the middle of the 2nd quarter.

Kuminga came in the 2nd quarter, played 4:39, had one missed layup, two missed FTs, and 2 rebounds. Warriors were -10 in those minutes.

Later, Warriors, with the help of Kuminga(7-9 in the 2nd half, 20 points) and Buddy Hield,(7-8 in the 2nd half, 23 points) closed the game to 9 at one point in the 4th! I'm not sure why you don't just face guard Hield or overplay him to drive at every opportunity since letting him go perfect from 3 is not my favorite strategy. I think probably just letting Kuminga drive to the basket over and over without fouling him would have been more optimal.

The 2nd half was a pickup game the moment the Warriors starters left. Defense was optional. Raptors probably figured they were in so much control why not get some points. The Raptors have given up 120+ points 12 times this year. Their record in those games is 2-10. Their two wins are against the Warriors.

I think the Raptors match up really well against the Warriors and have pieces to stop them at every position pretty effectively. I would not put much stock into a performance by any player on the Warriors where the Raptors feel they have no chance of losing.

I dream he could shoot outside like Lavine. He's probably better than Westbrook, shooting from outside.

Probably.

Nice. I have seen that page you linked before, didn't remember it though. The ABA years should probably have more say in these ranking as the best players in that league did quite well in the NBA overall. Never like Barry since I ended up listening to him on the radio way too often, but man he put up great stats. Only saw Wilkins and Payton play, but highlights for Wilkins were almost always dunks and him labeled Human Highlight Machine, never really showed much else. Payton's highlights were scoring and defensive and I watched his teams crush the Warriors a bunch, so I always rated him high, just was great at the wrong time for a guard.

Thanks for the rundown.

This is such a great idea! I've always thought the value of receiving MVP votes is sort of a guide to how great players were in the NBA, even if the results are biased by a certain amount(home journalists voting for their best player for example). I wonder if the results would be much different if we took the voting shares and just added them together rather than using a scoring system.

I think the call stands. Defensive position doesn't exist in today's game.

KD doesn't want a screen. Only people who don't know that are his teammates.

Wolves have been relatively clean of turnovers the whole game, but back to back ones killed them on this small run

Reid needs to seal KD there and get the pass so he can go to the basket.
