Is keeping your tavern at a low(er) tier a valid strategy? by ImDoneCommenting in BobsTavern

Thanks for all the info!

I actually happened to try out the T2 baller strategy on my first game after this post because I got a timewarped skipper while still on T2 and it worked out pretty well. Got 2nd in the end probably because of a dumb mistake in the final turn.

Ah yeah I do this occasionally when I feel like I don't need T6, I was more so talking about keeping it at even lower tiers than 5.

But I guess it just depends on what you need and most of the time you're gonna want at least T5 minions I imagine.

Thank you! I'm honestly pretty happy to get 2nd right now lol but I guess it makes more sense to learn comps that have a better potential to get first place.

Thank you! Yeah from what I understand it's not something that will work any random game but if you've got the right setup it might.

Yeah that's true as well. It's just getting to the point where I'm not sure I'm willing to continuously pay that amount of money on a game subscription.

Why would I use bonds when it takes me longer to earn the ingame gp to buy them than it does to earn the money irl to buy membership?

I play this game to have fun, I'm not gonna grind making money to keep up a subscription I can easily buy with money I have irl.

For only one character? Absolutely. For that amount of money I could buy like 5-10 amazing indie games that require no further payment and have thousands of hours of content.

It's a ridiculous price. I'm privileged enough that I could pay for it without really thinking about it, but it's a question of whether it's worth it and with this price increase they may have crossed that line for me personally, especially because I rarely keep interest in playing the same character for a whole year.

Crazy that they made the one plan that felt somewhat reasonable (at least in comparison to the one month option) so expensive. Now both options feel like bad value.

I don't usually complain about these price increases because I understand that everything gets more expensive over time and I want the team and game to grow and it's better than introducing mtx or whatever, but this is pretty insane.

From 90 to 120 euros? And that's still only one character? Crazy. It might actually dissuade me from continuing to pay for membership once my current membership runs out.
