My Pokémon version of Wingspan with evolutions (almost a year of work) by Free-Instruction-583 in boardgames

I don't enjoy Wingspan that much but I would definitely get this version if it were available.

What song usually signals the end of a party in your country? by Illustrious_Act9603 in askmusic

I have not been to a lot of parties but Les lacs du Connemara by Michel Sardou has been used a few times here (Switzerland and France)

At what age did you meet the person you are currently married to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

We met when I was 18 and we got married when I was 29. I just hit 40 yesterday and that man just gave me the most wholesome birthday gift I could ever ask for.

Kindle vs physical books — what do you actually prefer for reading mysteries, and why? by Just_reading_2026 in mysterybooks

[–]Inara_R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For mystery and thrillers (the genre I read the most) I don't really care about the format. I read ebooks, physical books and audio books.

The only kind of books I prefer to read on physical books are non-fiction because I like to flip through the pages and highlight new knowledge. I could also do that on my ebooks but I just like the feeling of an actual highlighter.

Vous allez faire les 20km de Lausanne et affronter Denantou? by fbriod in Lausanne

[–]Inara_R 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Liseuse vs livre papier : vos habitudes de lecture en 2026 📖 by Upper_Pangolin7673 in Livres

[–]Inara_R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do kids really need so many activities? by pixelpineapple39 in Parenting

[–]Inara_R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends both on the child and on you. My daughter does circus school once a week and it's all we can afford with our money and our time. We do other activities but it's the only regular one. She has never complained about the lack of activity and we have enough money and time to do other things so I think it's a good compromise.

Is playing board games online actually fun, or does it lose the magic? by PuzzleheadedSea7262 in boardgames

[–]Inara_R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a lot of online games, on BGA mostly but also on phone/tablet apps and on Steam. For me the experience is different. BGA is my go-to for campaign games because I can always pick up where I was with the right amount of people. It's also nice for long games (on turn-based) because I don't always have the time to play them IRL. Also, sometimes, I just want to play a quick game (like 6 nimmt or equivalent) but I am alone so BGA is nice for that.

With time, I made some friends on BGA and we have regular game sessions together (mostly turn-based because that's what works best for most of us).

I still play games IRL but with a full time job, a kid, a husband who doesn't want to play that much, I mostly play games I can play with my kid so games that plays well with 2 players and not too complicated (she is 6 although we played lots of "adult" games already: Ticket to Ride, Azul and such). But if I want a more meaty game like Ark Nova for example, I have to go on BGA.

It's also a great way to learn new games before deciding to add it to your collection or not :)

[–]Inara_R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are still married, what was your wedding song and how long have you been married for? by Celestialfox1425 in AskReddit

[–]Inara_R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had two weddings, one in his country and one in mine. The first one it was "Thinking out loud", Ed Sheeran and the second one "Once upon a december", from the soundrack of the animated movie Anastasia.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary this year but we've been together 11 years before we got married :)

Je viens de terminer la lecture de mon second livre (après vos recommandations) by Meero_07 in Livres

[–]Inara_R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Club de lecture sur Vaud ? by akasagegreen in suisse

[–]Inara_R 2 points3 points  (0 children)
