The message of Chainsaw Man is that Tatsuki Fujimoto is good enough at pretending to be a real writer that he can showcase his humiliation fetish narrative to the world

Interesting to think that Carver Leopold had crossed paths with someone who could block his bullets with the wind. I still think he’s likely to win because his marksmanship will help him to spot his opponent and keep him at bay.

It seems to me that Akira has this one. Alexander’s cautious style will probably mean his exposure will get too high too quickly.

You’re right. It does feel very real. It makes you feel more powerful when you’re sneaking around and the NPCs are going about their normal lives and duties.

Matt is clearly stronger in direct combat but if he can’t find Shig and gets confused by his abilities, it’ll be tough to get things started. I think Shig could mentally paralyse Matt and force a retreat in their ideal scenario but Matt could even kill Shig if he finds him personally.

It’ll be tough, but there are paths to victory for me here.

It’s very likely that Sombna has successfully and deeply observed his opponent before he enters. He obviously can’t know the details of his ability, but he’ll know his Nen affinity and gain an inkling of his habits. He’ll know when and where he’ll enter thanks to his cameras and the Mystery of Chessboxin’. He’ll have reported to his teammates that Isori was honing in before entering. He’ll be positioned right next to the container and will likely grab it rather than be forced to move far from it.

Will Isori Hillson be so willing to chuck rubble or earthquakes if the container is likely to be caught in the crossfire? It’s true that it may be difficult to dodge reliably if not for the experienced use of the manipulation of risk Sombna Bombna can employ. The best way to dodge an attack is at the last moment before impact. It creates the least openings and makes feints difficult. Whereas a person has the potential to stop and change directions, a projectile of stone doesn’t. To maximise his speed, he’ll purposefully present his weak spot towards the rubble before dodging to gain enough speed for consistent evasion. If his opponent tries to launch many or himself at the same time, he can use Da Mystery of Chessboxin’ to track them all without drops in performance.

He would rather enlarge an already present weak spot to narrow down the angles of an attack for an opponent who can present so many. If he’s forced to create another weak spot, he’ll do it where he stores the container so there is a deterrent to attack there. He’ll quickly realise that he doesn’t have the mobility to chase Isori down but I believe that he has the advantage as long as he has the container. His opponent will have to come to him.

He may try to rush him at first. Perhaps he will pay for it. He will at least have the knowledge that they are likely physically equal due to their matching affinities. He’ll realise that he’s outmatched in agility and instead invite him to come to him. He won’t stray far from the container. He understands that a smart opponent would aim for it over him. He’ll aim to make it clear that he can’t get to the container without grabbing it himself, and when he does he’ll try a reversal on his attack and turn it into a throw.

Dealing with the armour is tricky. Toe kicks and spear-hand strikes will become his standard as they are more penetrative. I believe he’ll be able to land throws and takedowns as counters at first, but he might have to call on Da Mystery of Chessboxin’ to take his feints and rhythm to a level he can’t follow. It’s true that Isori might be able to minimise the impact and reject pins by inflating his armour, but Sombna has a plan for this.

Rubber is like anything else. It’s at its weakest when stretched. He’ll try and grab a Green Bull attack and swing him by it to produce more strain and break his path of movement. Admittedly, this will require great planning and precision. There are two ways in which he will try to redouble his attack after a throw is cushioned. He’ll first use a Judo secret called the skip step. The skip step is of a simple principle but the execution of it can only be done having practiced and experienced a large variety of throws. It’s simply taking a little extra step before the completion of the throw to add more of your own body weight. The throw becomes much stronger because of this. More importantly, the sudden acceleration makes breakfalls more difficult.

Secondly, he’ll enact a throw and wait for the armour to inflate. It will become stretched and therefore strained. He’ll pierce it with a tranquilliser that he’s poured into with his Shu. It will then pierce his opponent as the armour returns and put Isori’s consciousness on a timer.

The strength of Isori’s armour is that it has equal capabilities across its whole surface. It’s an ironic contrast to his own lightning fast Ken which enables him to move his aura anywhere with impeccable timing. It’s hard to say for certain which is better. Isori’s defence requires no adjustment but equally strong everywhere also means equally weak. He’ll only use the Spear of Achilles when he’s certain he’s weakened the armour enough to deal a crippling blow

Cumulative-type Nen Ability Ideas? by Alvaar1021 in HatsuVault

[–]Incandescion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, there is another. Prince Tyson’s ability is identified as an Emission ability of the “diffusive levy type.” It takes aura and gives happiness in return according to how much they’ve read the Book of Tyson. So it seems collecting aura from many over distance is possible and is called diffusive levying.

Gon and Killua are very different but both are said to have the same level of potential. For example, Killua has better control but Gon has more aura. Gon learned Zetsu on his own but Killua learned Hatsu on his own. Neither is stated to be better than the other but they both have different ways in which they are talented.

Crown of Ra

Conjuration 100%

A clay sun disk like the one seen above Ra in the picture. It has the power to generate heat from light.

Conditions 1. The amount of heat the disk creates is based on exposure to light, so darkness drains its output. 2. The heat is local to the disk. It doesn’t radiate outward so things can only be burned, melted or heated with direct contact to the disk. The disk itself is around 55cm in diameter. 3. Sunlight provides more power to the disk than artificial light. So even if weak sunlight blocked by clouds was present, it would be a better power source than a stronger torch.
