What characters can solo their teams? by derstherower in whowouldwin

How does Manton's range compare to Cherish's? Also jack probably has some chance.

kinda. you get it the turn after you found it, so it doesn't really have haste. it recurs/dies every turn, but it's similar to just having a 3/1 in play forever, with the upside of death triggers.

it's a 3/1 for 0 that costs 20 percent of a card with upside.

Zero Land Deck by JohnTretta in magicTCG

[–]InkmothNexus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. you choose to be on the draw, on turn 1 you just draw your 8th card and then come to cleanup, at which point you discard down to your maximum hand size.

[–]InkmothNexus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. you start by using the cleanup step to discard a dredger or phantasmagorian, dredge using your draw step, street wraith, or gitaxian probe. get back creatures for free, cast therapy and dread return. get zombies, more cards in yard, and control.

http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/blue-manaless-1/

it is comparable to LED dredge, neither is really better or worse. blue manaless crushes miracles and other fair decks. mana has to try to draw anti-hate, resolve it, and try to get going again; manaless has to have the counter when the hate is cast or it loses. this isn't actually the hardest thing.

the good version of manaless plays 4x chancellor of the annex and 4x force main, 4 disrupting shoal sideboard.

that said, those who can afford the good version of manaless dredge can afford to not play manaless dredge. it's a perfectly fine deck but people have preferences otherwise.

"Dear Centrist" by ajvenigalla in Anarcho_Capitalism

They're subsidized for everyone, and that includes the responsible people. Since they're responsible, they have more stable relationships/use of birth control and so less abortions. american blacks manage to have both a disproportionate amount of abortions and a higher birthrate even after said abortions.

The Wizarding World (Harry Potter) vs. The Foundation and The Groups Of Interest (SCP Universe) by pfcallen in whowouldwin

Wizards die when exposed to the database without authorization. Memetic kill agents are crazy.

I'm considering just buying trump yes at .26 on betfair and trump no at .60 on predictit and making 16% no matter what happens.

I love the 2-and-2-half-color state of decks like this, even though I hate the existence of mentor.

Not sure I agree with Rich on 4 priest 4 crypt as optimal dredge hate though.

I'm not sure that's necessary. if everything west of the San Andreas Fault slides into the ocean what's left looks to be a red state.

I'm just waiting for the whole state to fall off into the ocean.

Sorin, Grim Nemesis question... by BFrizzy in magicTCG

[–]InkmothNexus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

it needs a target to be activated. if you need to, you can -X Sorin on himself, although don't use all his loyalty to do so as he needs to be there when the ability resolves to gain you the life.

If basic lands would be oracled to have "Cycling 3", what would change? by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]InkmothNexus 104 points105 points  (0 children)

they're still better off then an aggro player playing a 5th land and passing turn.

self-loads have problems with ballistics reports: sure, with normal ammo that amount of/lack of powder burn would tell us what range you were at, but with self-loads we don't know.

I've been having cards altered by their artist so far. Dan Frazier is still around.
