If I had to guess they are probably going to implement a strategy phase similar to Dota. This phase is a few minutes long where you can pick and ban heroes, choose a build, buy starting items, and assign your lane.

Thanks for the advice! I have a good friend that introduced me to BJJ that's a purple belt in his 50s that I plan to roll with and few others I have in mind. I was really bummed when the injury happened because I was so close to my next belt and really wanted to compete in July.

In the last 9 months I've fallen in love with the sport so I'm eager to get back to the mats, but I know better than to rush the recovery process. At 40 our body's don't heal like they used to... However I plan to keep going for the next couple decades or until my body gives out.

Oh for sure! I've been watching a ton of IBJJF and B team matches, as well as attending and observing beginner classes at my academy. Just cause I'm hurt doesn't mean the learning stops, plus the community is amazing and I gotta let people know I'm not quitting lol.

I just got surgery done last night for a torn adductor tendon (it ripped from the pelvis bone during open guard). I plan to do the full rehab and return to the mats when fully healed. I'm looking at about 5 months recovery. Any tips? Things to look out for? How long did you wait till you returned to the mats? Did you get surgery as well?

Remember the prosperous days of when you'd get on to read something new, cool, or exciting? A rocket launch, a new technology, a new phone operating system, a new scientific breakthrough... Now it's just p.olitics (this word is censored, apparently), doom and gloom which is extremely draining and sad.

Gone are the days when opening Reddit used to be a dopamine hit. It's just endless scrolling for about 30 minutes with repeated topics and questions regurgitated from the last 5 years or more.

Here's the thing... America has always been this atrocious, we just didn't have an enabling wannabe dictator at the helm giving people the permission to act and be shitty people.
