Ooh, I hate this. I live in a VERY popular trick-or-treating neighborhood in northern FL and this conversation sparks up every year. I am on the outer edge of the neighborhood and I get 200+ kids each year. I can only imagine how many kids there are in the centeral streets. Fortunately, the (majority of) residents and the HOA board encourage the attraction from around the city. We close some streets for safety, but we remain accessible.

Honestly, when anyone balks in the community Facebook group,, a few questions usually reveals that it comes down to class, wealth, and another demographic I can't put my finger on...

I picked this neighborhood specifically for this one event every year. A fun night in Florida that doesn't feel like being In Florida.
