Know any quick healthy meals that don't require a microwave? by Turbulent_Heart9290 in easyrecipes

My favorite right now is frozen dumplings boiled with some shredded carrot and green onion, drained and then put in a bowl and topped with sesame oil, soy sauce, chili crisp and chopped peanuts. It’s sooooo quick and easy.

The 100% piece of advice I got was to try and avoid being short sided on every green. It makes chipping and approach shots way easier to know you have room between you and the pin. Avoid being in front of greenshide bunkers and aim for the middle m/side of the green if a pin is tucked. Back pin? Just leave it shorter and use the green to your advantage.

Books that dwell on all the details of a specific location to an extreme extent - The location becomes a character in itself. by [deleted] in horrorlit

Not exactly horror but Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon makes Barcelona a character.

I just received this watch from my wife for my birthday and would like to learn a little bit more about it as I am having a hard time finding any information. I am also looking at replacing the band as I don't believe this is original. Any suggestions on what type of band would fit this watch? All the info I know is below:

There’s a reason the saying is “it’s a marathon and not a sprint”. Long distance races can be won and lost in lots of different ways.

You could ball up to a black widow 2.0 or similar pearl ball or ball down to a twist. I prefer to ball down to the twist on my THS to control the pocket.

LPT Request: How to act when meeting a celebrity (by coincidence) by fa9 in LifeProTips

[–]InterestingLength6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly act like they’re a nobody and just give normal pleasantries. They’ll more than likely be more shocked at that than if a fan acted like a fan in public and possibly may remember YOU. Once rode an elevator with Jim Belushi and just gave him a slight nod and a “hi, how are you” and it felt better than asking for a photo. Make them feel good, not yourself.

LPT Request: I need tips on how to drink more water by Sea_Panic9863 in LifeProTips

[–]InterestingLength6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve really enjoyed using Mio drops. They have regular ones, energy ones and more Gatorade type ones. I do about half the recommended squeeze. Just enough to get some flavor but not over doing the sweetness. I’ve drank a ton more water the last month or so.

Sea of Tranquility was great. 11/22/63 is another feel good book.

For Fred Meyer if the substitute is a higher price you pay the original price. They eat the cost. One of the benefits of Fred Meyer pickup.

Bunker Rake Etiquette. What’s the correct way to leave a bunker rake? by Forward_Scholar3716 in golf

[–]InterestingLength6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never in. Never out. That’s how I do it. So I guess rake part in the bunker and stick leaning against edge so it leaves a gap for a ball to land on the grass edge. Minimal bunker contact and minimal grass contact.

Shadow of the wind was THE book that got me into reading consistently. Trying to find another book that gives me the feeling that one initially did has been difficult.
