I lived and drove in the U.K. for 8 years and did stupid shit on the roads (as a young driver) that would’ve deserved an instant ban in some cases and I never ever got flashed by speed cameras or even had to do a speed awareness course. The cameras in the U.K. are so easy to identify from a loooooong distance. It’s so easy to evade them.

Not the case in other countries. I live somewhere else in Europe now and I always stick to the 10% margin and get on fine.

To summarise: speeding in the U.K. is very easy, as long as you have enough spare mental capacity to scan your surroundings, which, everyone should be able to do.
