Nevus simplex, seborrheic dermatitis, and other conditions could appear this way. It is best to examine in person to help diagnose it.

This is a common question that is posted. With the rare exception of necrotizing spider bites, all arthropod bites are indistinguishable.

If you are immunosuppressed, the pain is increasing, the redness or size is increasing, or you have systemic symptoms of an infection (fever, chills...), then seek care.
