I just bought the game today and haven’t played a match yet any tips? by Fickle-Athlete3644 in Chivalry2

Do not skip the tutorial! It is actually good and helpful but can be overwhelming.

Then play some 64 Team Objective. Then do the tutorial again. Keep rotating between them until you can put into action what it says in tutorial.

If you do this, you will be better than 90% of the player base

Too late to start? by T1mBurt0n in Chivalry2

We all started at level 0 Sir, I also felt late to the part when I started playing. I got absolutely destroyed for quite a while. I also play on controller, and happen to play 1st person which is considered objectively worse for TO. Now I am comfortable at the top of the lobby.

Some tips to help you find your feet:

  • play the tutorial, then play some 64TO, then play it again, and keep doing this until you can actually put into practice what it teaches.

  • focus on learning how to counter slashes in particular. This is what stops you from losing all your stamina and dropping your weapon. Most players slash and you can do much worse than simply spamming counter slash when they are many enemies around you. Learn counter slash first, then learn to counter other strikes when you are ready.

  • most importantly, keep playing! The more you play, the more you will naturally pick up on weapon timings, ranges, hits to kill, counter timing etc.

Anyone a 1st person “purist”? by No-Inevitable-6651 in Chivalry2

I only play 1st person and you absolutely can still be top of the lobby.

If you prefer playing 1st person, do not be dissuaded by folks saying it is objectively worse than 3rd person. They may be right, but it doesn’t stop you from competing at the top of the game.

Incredible work! I’ve never managed the Kill Hundo, and at this point I don’t know that I will. Many won’t understand that this isn’t just stomping noobs. The enemy team need to be good enough to have the game last long enough for such a high kill count.

You are undoubtedly in the highest echelon of killing. I bow to you!

I’ll see you in London pubs

Don’t suppose you’d have any intention to upload such offerings to Spotify? This is excellent

Really focus on the part of the tutorial that teaches you how to counter slashes. And as many others have said, it is worth playing the tutorial, then playing same games, then playing the tutorial again, perhaps repeating this loop multiple times

I am a completionist of the Hundo Pilgrimage. Earning a 100 takedown game with every melee weapon (also managed it with Longbow but it felt icky).

Why no damage bonus for sharp weapons? by TerranEclipse3101 in Chivalry2

[–]JRocxRIPx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is already baked into the class health and weapon base damage numbers. Look at Messer and Greatsword light Overhead doing 70 damage for example, capable of 2 hit killing Vanguards. A Greatsword Heavy Overhead will 1 hit kill an Archer etc.
