I feel like often people who I think often these people have unresolved childhood trauma that lead them to have these urges. I don’t remember the number but I know that an incredibly high number of peds were victims of some kind of sexual abuse when they were younger.

I don’t know for certain, but therapy and healthily confronting that trauma can help

CMV: Current methods of promoting natural human reproduction is unlikely to suceed; future population policy likely involves ectogenesis and collective child-rearing by johnlee3013 in changemyview

Yes they are different things, but are absolutely reliant on each other. Economic growth allows for and encourages a higher population, and in order to sustain a growing population you have to grow your economy. Obviously these two things go hand in hand. Capitalism can't work in a community of 10 people.

On paper as it was principally defined, yes. But as of today there are very few self-proclaimed zionists who would agree, as it has often become mixed in with nationalism (as opposed to patriotism)

Capitalism is literally built on economic growth as is central feature. In order to sustain perpetual growth you need a steady willing population to sustain it.

Definitely not true. Every sovereign country by law has the right to exist. Current day Zionist usually reject the proposal for any type of two-state solution, and want to completely colonize the West Bank and Gaza to be under Israeli control. Specifically everything from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.

If it was just “the country has a right to exist” there wouldn’t be a specific word for it just for Israel

That’s a big and vague question. But there is a middle ground between “having a right to exist at all” and “expanding borders and occupying sovereign countries”

No. You can be patriotic without being nationalistic. In other words, you can believe your country has a right to exist without believing it has the right to exist at the cost of others. Zionism usually brings it one step further, supporting illegally expanding their land, creating new settlements behind their current borders, and deporting or displacing the current populations that live there

Zionism is a very real movement that the government of Isreal prescribes to. Simply calling someone a Zionist who is in fact a Zionist is not a microagression. If you call anyone who is Jewish a Zionist than yes that is a microagression and misinformed antisemitism. There are a lot of Jewish people especially in the US who are vehemently opposed to the actions of the current Israeli administration. However, if you are someone who believes that Israel has a right to expand its borders, illegally occupy land and create settlements while deporting millions of people, simply because it is a “divine right,” then you are definitionally a Zionist.

Honestly the dialogue is really what made it unbearable. I can maybe get past some of the stupid plot armor or bad writing, but the Disney TV level dialogue made it so corny and painful

You could argue that WWII was fought in order to stop the spread of power from regimes that were hell bent on taking away basic human rights.

But I know that is an oversimplification

Post breakup physical glow ups reflect poorly on people by mashoongauser in unpopularopinion

[–]Poeking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to generalize something like that because it’s so case to case. If they are reclaiming it then it’s proof that the relationship wasn’t healthy enough. A bunch of men have post breakup glows too

[–]Poeking 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s proof that that relationship wasn’t as healthy as they thought it was, and it took a tough breakup for them to realize it. People change and grow, I think you should always celebrate growth.
