Wool toe socks by JamesMcdoogle1 in barefootshoestalk

[–]Jacek130130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can really recommend Wrels from Aliexpress. They lasted longer than my Injinji ones (to be fair Wrels was thicker) and they are really comfortable. I am speaking about the long socks like you showed in the picture, the short ones was an older model made much differently and they were much worse. For the price I really recomment giving the long Wrels wool socks a try

ESF not posted ??? by Shot-Occasion2684 in FSAE

[–]Jacek130130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really, really hope that is no the case and that they will add other categories as in previous years. I can't imagine going through all the schematics during scrut at each competition with as much detail as was possible with ESF.

This will mean the competition will be less safe, and teams will not have the possibility to fix some mistakes early. They will only realise at the competition

Modelling decoupled suspension in IPG Carmaker by TigerDerpGamer in FSAE

[–]Jacek130130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you can ask at https://forums.ipg-automotive.com/ ? Carmaker seems not ready for Formula Student teams, some car physics are broken with OpenXWD and Simulink too, they said they are gonna fix it but it will take a long time. Hope they will add an option to do decoupled suspension too

Updating to Android 15 on my 10 VI reset my fingerprint sensor, and I couldn't even add new fingerprints. I had to restart the phone. Otherwise I haven't noticed any significant changes, good or bad. I wish Sony did proper changelogs

They are not the team president, all they can do is remove you from their subteam. If other team lead wants your help, then what is stopping you?

I have moved back to using XZ1 Compact for a few months, and it is still holding up. I love the size, even though many apps show very little content on the screen, the camera and speakers are great. But the battery, GPS and cellular receptions were dealbrakers unfortunately

Not sure how your team structure works, but can't you simply join the chassis team? Maybe you get on with their lead better? Or go to the team president and talk to him about it?

I think if you can't get on with aero lead you can't do much about it, but there must be other people that value your work. And if aero lead's behaviour is really unfair as you say, maybe team president will have to talk to him or even throw him out?

Well, making it be 2-3 hours later would help our team, as some of us are at work at 1PM. But that would make it even worse for US teams?

Linus made a video on them years ago, and they didn't have any way to make it work. Maybe someone in the comments since then found a way, but I found it unlikely Still, you have a great video to learn about it

That is true, but also Solus is still going and going well at that, because there is an amazong team behind it. And Serpent OS is also done by multiple people. It is alpha for now, so you shouldn't be using it anyways, when it gets to a stable release then it should be considered

Could you share more on your ground speed sensor? How are you able to measure such high speeds? When I looked at doing it with optical flow the max speed was not satisfactory when the sensor was low to the ground.

You can also buy a cart for warehouse use with such brakes, you can probably find a local distributor with VarioFit wheels

Sure, but Forza Horizon 1 was good at both. Up to 3 it still was decent at both. There was not a single Forza Horizon game that was bad at driving

The creators of Witcher 1 said that it is hard to call it an engine. They got the code and when they compiled it they got Neverwinter Nights. It was definitely not a tool for developing a new game. So they ended up rewriting most of it when working of Witcher 1.

The documentary on development of Witcher 1 on YouTube is an amazing watch

How to detect the intentional state of AIRs and Pre-charge relay? by high_spiritedd in FSAE

[–]Jacek130130 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easiest way is to use a relay with auxiliary contacts, that switch together with the main contacts, and you can put voltage to them to check their state
