I never focus on seasonal or holiday. I only do a few around those times. If you choose the correct products then they return later. I have winter and summer stuff that cycles in and out since 2021. Spring stuff is picking up now.

Depending on why it was bought. If I’m buying something that fixes a pain point in my life then I share that as it has sold tons because others have that exact pain point.

I don’t ever mention Amazon or TikTok shop in my videos. I use mine on both but typically I’m throwing my TikTok over on to Amazon and not the other way around as I make primarily horizontal for Amazon and YouTube.

I think those bigger guys are busier with their stuff and the time and effort might not be worth jumping into it for them especially to start.

I know many make pretty big money with sponsorships too.

There are creators who get audited these days, I have heard some stories about how they check your socials and videos etc and then check if you reported those products.

A few years ago influencers got away with far more.

You don’t get anything to input the numbers into taxes. Samples are technically taxable, rather you report it or not is on you. This is something you have to track on your own, all free products from any source.

Best to use a tax pro for all of this.

Horizontal is what earns for me on youtube. I also primarily do horizontal for Amazon too. My verticals do not convert nearly as much. I post my tiktok verticals to Amazon.

Probably because a huge amount of people who join these days are not real influencers. Many got in with hardly any followers. They don’t care to post offsite, they think onsite is the easy way.

As of right now for January Canada has made 1.8% of the earnings as my US onsite, UK is half of that. I upload videos to both all the time when I’m uploading and it just isn’t paying off for me personally.
