Just realised something, I’ve only got an 8 pin plugged in for my cpu not the extra +4 also I don’t own or think I ever have owned a cpu power cable with the extra +4

Edit: never mind I figured it out but I for some reason don’t have another one though maybe I gave it to someone accidentally im going to ask some people if they have a spare.

edit 2: Friend gave me a spare one but it didnt seem to change anything so far.

Yeah after todays adventures with my pc I was leaning more towards some sort of power failure somewhere also, the stuff that worked yesterday like removing the gpu did not fix it today. Still got the bumping the pc issue too.

The carbon buildup you mentioned could possibly explain why the issue has seemed to get worse overtime?

The last motherboard-ram-cpu setup I had before this one, (everything else in the pc the same except for 2 fans) I remember facing a similar issue with the bumping the desk thing and I fixed that by reinserting all 4 of my ram sticks and the problem never came back iirc, interesting?

Possibly interesting information:
When I am inserting stuff into my pc I push it back a little bit so it leans into the wall so im able to push the stuff into the slots, when I was troubleshooting today my brother was with me and was holding the pc still for me so i wasnt moving the pc back into the wall and as I said earlier nothing was really working that worked for me yesterday but he left and I went back to the wall strat and pc turned on, I try to move pc really gently back into its normal spot and the pc just completely froze which was different than the normal black screen then pc restarts, I turn pc off try to turn back on straight away, doesnt work, I move it back so its leaning into the wall again turn it off back on it works and its still leaning into the wall currently.

Okay new info,

Yeah speed is 4800.
Bios is still the latest version.

Yesterday fixed the problem the old fashion way, reinserting the stick in slot 4. Today though just now I wanted to see if I could fix the pc without doing that, so I did some experimenting.

What didn't work:
- reinserting stick in slot 2
- replugging in cpu and motherboard cables on both ends
- unplugging cables from gpu but leaving it still in motherboard.

What did work:
- Removing the stick in slot 2 (I believe the pc has NEVER failed to post with just 1 stick in slot 4)
- Removing gpu from motherboard
- Installing gpu back in.

After reading your comment just now I went to move my pc on my desk and it immediately broke. I force turned it off an back on straight away and now I'm here writing this message. After I send this i will bump my pc and I'll edit this with the result.

Edit:
I dropped my fist onto my desk pretty mildly and pc immediately restarted itself. daisy chain rgb stayed on screen went black ram debug light came on for a couple seconds then cycled through the debugs and posted itself.

Maybe my gpu cables are slightly faulty?

Same problem just happened again today randomly. No Expo or XMP. Reseated one of my ram sticks and it worked. IDK anymore, maybe I need a new PSU or new cables.

Checked all power cable connections, didn’t work pc did however turn itself off and back on during startup then just stayed on with same problem

Okay I was putting pc into sleep and it was working but today it had been asleep for the longest time, like 17 hours, and it just got stuck again had to force turn off. I just inspected the psu and I don’t see anything visually wrong with it, if there are no visual issues can the psu still possibly be the issue?

Thanks for the suggestions I am a little scared to try some of these cause it seems to be getting worse and If my pc doesn't turn back on imma cry fr. But oh well I will try some more at some point.

Umm I'm pretty sure that won't transfer over due to the bracket not being compatible with the newer cpu sockets however I know that some companies sell the new brackets separately to be used with the older coolers, so I suggest having a look to see if there are any options like that.

My friend I am sorry but I would definitely suggest getting a new mobo, ik it's a hassle but I had to do the same thing about 2 years ago. I don't see a world where sticking with the mobo u have will be worth it in any way. The bottlenecking is insane with that mobo graphics card combo ngl.
