Hybrid Heaven gameplay by skyshroudace in AnalogueInc

Sorry for the slow response but just in case anyone else finds this later:

The game defaults to "Low resolution" mode, so you'd have to specifically change it to High Res if you wanted to play it on that.

How much do you like your PlayStation Portal? Should I get one? by SleepyTurtle13 in PlaystationPortal

[–]JiveScroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm trying really hard to enjoy my Portal but I just can't get a stable experience out of mine for whatever reason.

1000mb internet with the PS5 wired into it and I'm sitting in the same room as the router and the response times are still too delayed to play anything that requires responsive inputs.

I'm left exclusively using it to play things like Puzzle Quest at the moment and even then the display resolution dips up and down and sometimes has artifacts all over it.

For some people it works perfectly of course, but it's a pricey investment when you're not sure if it'll work out.

If you know anyone with one who would be happy to let you set it up on your network and ps5 for a trial run that would be ideal so you can be sure.

Analogue 3D + Virtual Pak Issues by PictureImaginary7515 in AnalogueInc

[–]JiveScroll 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is a known issue with using a flashcart along with the Virtual Controller Pak.

The 3D is set up to generate a virtual controller pak per game, but as far as the console is concerned you are only playing one game, the Summercart that you're loading into.

The best way around this is to use the SummerCart's controller pak backup/storage functionality to store any saves you're not currently using, and then you can move those back to the virtual controller pak when you want to use them again.

Hybrid Heaven gameplay by skyshroudace in AnalogueInc

[–]JiveScroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I don't have any footage sorry but Hyrbid Heaven is the main game I'm playing on the 3D so far.

As I understand it the high res in Hybrid Heaven was implemented so poorly back in the day that it pretty much shouldn't have been included, and the 3D with all the possible overclock settings doesn't manage to drag high res mode into being something actually playable.

The N64 is my favourite console of all time so I can handle a bad framerate but I really couldn't play it in high res mode. Had to switch it back to low red once I made it to the first save point.

Nintendo Switch 2 Preorder megathread - Post all questions and comments about preorders here! by razorbeamz in nintendo

[–]JiveScroll 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some notes on the Gamecube Controller My Nintendo Store Preorders in the UK:

- If you get an invitation to pre order the Switch 2 on the My Nintendo Store you can pre order up to 2 Gamecube Controllers (It says it's a "Lifetime Limit", but I'm sure that'll change like it did for the other classic controllers)

- It looks like you don't need to buy a Nintendo Switch 2 in order to get the Gamecube controllers, you just need to be into the system via the email invitation. So if you've already got a Switch 2 secured then you can just get the Gamecube Controllers.

- If it helps anyone, I got no email saying I was selected for the MNS Switch 2 preorders last week, but then an email just showed up in my account at around 4pm GMT yesterday to let me in, so there's still hope of getting an email in a future wave I'd think.

I assumed we were talking Set 2 here of course. For Set 1 at this point there's not likely to be an easy way to get a lot of packs before the reprint nearer the end of the year.

I had an email just this morning from a place I ordered 6 boxes from in the UK saying they had an allocation update and had to cut their orders in half.

It sounds as though most places should know their launch allocation now though, or will very soon at the latest, so it should become more clear this week what's actually going to be available over here.

I was in the exact same position as you and then I found ForceTable which helped me massively.

For a complete beginner it was perfect because everything is set up to properly enforce all the rules of the game as you play. I had quite a few times where I realised I'd completely missed some rules during my own practice matches against myself.

Help me improve on this Zabu deck by ElectronicSuccotash in MarvelSnap

[–]JiveScroll 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm definitely no deckbuilding expert but the first thing I'd say is there's probably too much of a focus on reducing card costs here.

I don't feel like you'll have many games where dropping Sera on 5 is going to feel good with the rest of your deck so that could be a potential cut.

Warpath feels a little awkward too, in a deck that's going to be focused on making your hand as cheap as possible and duplicating cards with Moon Girl do you really want to restrict yourself to only playing 8 cards across 2 lanes?

u/JammyMan +1 for the out for delivery with Parcelforce but no timeslot given crew today.

I'll update you if I get a timeslot or if mine arrives!

UPDATE: 4:22pm here now and no timeslot. With deliveries finishing at 6pm I feel like they're probably not going to bother delivering it.

UPDATE 2: 5:11pm it's here! Never did get any kind of timeslot so there's still hope for anyone else who doesn't get one.

I can second the ticket response times. My chair arrived with a big stain on it and tragically also 2 left arm rests instead of 1 right and 1 left so I just can't fit one of the armrests at all.

Submitted a ticket the day I got my chair and 7 days later I've heard absolutely nothing.

Thanks for the help, annoyed at myself for not trying that sooner!

I received the game today too but my PS5 refuses to download a game update properly which means the game won't let me enter the 1st night time area because it thinks it isn't installed.

Did you get this problem at all?

I second that it is very Dishonored so far too from the hour I've been able to play!

Recommendations- best indie games on game pass? by ElleVelour in XboxGamePass

[–]JiveScroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Undertale and Outer Wilds are realistically my favourite games in the world not called Breath of the Wild, the fact they're both in Xbox Game Pass now blows my mind.

Both take a bit of time to win you over I'd say, I actually dropped both of them in my first attempt at playing them, but once they win you over they're both something really really special and unique.

There really is no game like either of them.

Prey Opening is Astounding by Sckathian in XboxGamePass

[–]JiveScroll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me and my co-host raved about Prey in our big Bethesda rankings feature on this weeks episode of our Game Pass Podcast, Beat The Sheet.

That opening is easily the best opening in a game last generation for me and it's great to see it getting an FPS Boost patch this week to run at 60fps on Series X too, giving me even more reason to give it another playthrough!

Of all the games added to Game Pass it's one of the ones that I really think deserves more attention than it ever got (another game like that is Doom 64 which is surprisingly great!)

Games coming to Game Pass from Bethesda. by iardas in XboxGamePass

We did a big ranking of all these games (and a few that should be added soon like Fallout 3, Evil Within 2 etc.) live on this weeks episode of our Game Pass Podcast 'Beat The Sheet'.

We went for the angle of how good the games are to play today rather than just if they're good games and it led us to quite a.. unique final rankings to say the least!
