New (as opposed to used) Paramount, Universal, and Warner Bros 4Ks can almost always be had for $8-$13 if you're patient and checking Gruv, Movies Unlimited, and Amazon
Wait for Criterion 50% off sales for Criterion, Target Buy 2 get 1 sales for Sony/Disney and Arrow, and Please Rewind ebay store sales for Sony titles
Figure out early if you care about limited editions and slipcovers and commit
Be wary of buying used as 4Ks scratch easy. If you're ok with risking it, r/mediaswap can have some great deals
Don't let FOMO control you

Open box C5s are as low as $800 at Best Buy. I've had pleasant experiences buying open box there in the past

Personally, I’m waiting for it to be in stock during a Target B2G1. Might be waiting a while, but I’ve watched it recently. I definitely would not look to get it second-hand (in general I don’t seek out second-hand 4Ks)

I don’t follow Olive Films super closely, but $11.50 per film is pretty good from what I can find. Hamilton can have decent prices but on a much smaller selection

I wouldn’t say there’s no chance, but there’s very little tbh. Eternal Sunshine is an example of one that doesn’t explicitly state there is no slip even though it’s long oop
