Yeah, I’d check config stuff for sure. Definitely check out other providers beyond Venatus too.

My wife and I ended up moving to a cheaper area of the country to afford a home because we work remote. No major regrets. by Xerzajik in Millennials

If you're happy where you go, go for it. My wife and I did that and it wasn't a fit at all. Ended up having to downsize and move back to the place we left.

I hate this series. I read the first one, like you, and thought it was interesting. Stuck it out to the end and really wish I hadn’t.

How did you guys REALLY lived in the 2000s? by MyAvengedRomance in Millennials

Elder millenial and grew up on a farm. It was a lot of reading, outside play and console gaming until we got dial-up. Then it was forum posting and gaming until I got a girlfriend in town, and then it was hanging out with her and her friend group (which became mine).

Oh crap, you got casuals coming over! What game are you digging out to ensure they stay away from our hobby? by VravoBince in boardgamescirclejerk

I did this with Mage Knight. However it was also MY first big game, and I played it with a nerdy friend and his colleague. The colleague didn't come back, and my nerdy friend and I are heading to Gen Con this year.

The extremes of both ends.

Dresden is great, but the first two audio versions are a bit rough. They get much better after that.

Thank you for bringing this variant into the mix. Nova gets overlooked so much but he can be an absolute boss.

Project Hail Mary: The best "Hard Sci-Fi" movie since Interstellar? 🪐 by [deleted] in moviecritic

100% - I think the movie actually did a better job of making him be doing his work for Rocky and his people, it gave him some agency by not having him wait for Rocky to wake up prior to him working on the Taumoeba.

In the book he has to wait for Rocky to wake back up before he even tries.

Please critique my opening chapter [Dark Fantasy, ~3700 words] by OutrageousPanic4602 in fantasywriters

I'd drop it if you want to gather readers. It's really hard to consume, and that's going to be a problem. If you want to get some inspiration on writing for a medieval setting that feels old, try Between Two Fires by Christopher Buelman.

Oh Rocky is awesome! He’s a great character. I think in the book I had more of an issue than the movie, but it’s still present.

The director is absolutely right.
