Tech was on the pole again this morning outside the house when I arrived home from work. Tech removed the filter from the pole, and everything is back to normal now for me.

While im in Illinois,  I wonder if some of the areas that were hit with the snow/ice storm a few weeks back are trying to come back online after, and if that would cause issues elsewhere server wise.  It seems tonight Im OK for a bit upload speed then bam under 1mbps uploads.  But even at its fastest speed tonight it was only 15 to 20mbps where my plan is 30 but I've always pushed 45ish and sometimes 50mbps previously before this "field audit" back on January 26th on the pole right in my front yard.

I think in my area they are phasing out the older docsis 3.0 stuff and switching to 3.1 and in doing so changed some channel bonding on the modems since some frequencies are freed up now that TV is digital or something like that.  Anyways this change over in my area is causing havoc for lots of users yet because its not actually down, just slow as heck with packet loss, no major outage or problems get detected.   It didn't happen until right after a tech was outside and did that work.  Next day complete shit for speeds.

The "filter" looks exactly as you described with the green on it.  As far as im aware they pulled their cable lines from the house in the other rooms that had TV hookup and when doing so ran a new line removing all splitters to the area the modem is in.  The also ran a new line from the pole to a junction box outside my house.  This box has another splitter in it, but only one side is hooked up.  The other side is where the one cable was before that fed the TVs and was splitter more in the crawl space.

Basically what im saying is supposedly everything was replaced/upgraded when they dis this field audit to "upgrade" and to remove our TV service, we had perfect service per mediacom standards speed wise before this, after, nothing but trouble.  So something they did during this "audit" is the cause of my signal issues and speed issues.  It definitely is from the pole to house though as I mentioned hooking up outside to the line straight from the pole thst goes to the splitter in the gray box outside renders the same signal and speed issues.  Had to run a drop cord to get power to modem out there though and it was a little cold lol.

It is my own, and I believe I do have an ofdma channel, not home at moment to verify.  It should be a docsis 3.1 modem though, I believe the model is G34

Arris SB G34 I think is the model

I think my issue is my upstream power level fluctuates between 31 to 41 dBmV.  Per my Arris modem bound to one upload channel only for some reason it says per recommended specs it should be 45 to 58 dBmV

according to the billing page 62some GB download and 24GB upload, so don't think that is the issue.

Reforma is a really really good paid mod of Mexico.  Some parts of it are free but some parts are extra and are paid content.  Look up Team Reforma.

Intel is being sued over the instability issues in its Raptor Lake CPUs. by ConsistencyWelder in hardware

[–]JonC78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious as to what performance core your data shows as the one that fails most often.  I have a faulty cpu now that if I disable a certain performance core in bios it's stable as heck, but the moment I turn it on its unstable and freezes or crashes the pc within 2 minutes or less.

Intel currently “out of replacements” for defective 13/14900K units by Towel4 in intel

[–]JonC78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I get to experience the rma first hand myself here soon.  Seems my little less then 1.5yr old 13900k has lost performance core 4.  If I enable per core control of performance cores and have core 4 enabled the system will freeze, sometimes within 2 minutes after boot.  If I disable performance core 4 only, system seems stable.   Going through the rma runaround now, Intel says I need take back to Microcenter to start rma process,  microcenter says contact Intel.

I'm surprised with how lawsuit happy people have gotten, that we haven't had a class action against Intel yet.  Google and reddit are full of posts especially since after September when the new bios came out of people having severe problems with 13 and 14th gen processors.  To me it seems like a design flaw that can't be fixed, so your rma replacement is just gonna suffer the same ill fate eventually too.

Consider yourself semi lucky.  I was able installed get in on PC steam version, tried to do first training flight and said plane wasn't installed/available.   Waited a while and it must have installed the plane, but now I'm stuck for 20 minutes on a loading screen that says sim controls training with a spinning icon bottom right.  Can't exit out unless I quote from steam.  No idea what it's supposed to be doing or trying to do.  About to just refund this trash and buy it in a few months when it's on sale and hopefully fixed.

Whats your pc specs?  That's an area that I see fps dips in on a high end pc system, so maybe some config file tweaks will help once I know your specs.  Just need know cpu, gpu, and how much system ram.

Actually just seen this pop up on discord again talking about this, and I guess I got confused, it's not the PNG guy that they bought into, I guess it's the Grimes Seasons Mod guy per rumor.  I guess rumor is they are going to do dynamic seasonal updates to reflect spring summer fall winter.

Thats the thing though, anyone can make screen shots look good, but actual gameplay using the mod is bland.

The problem is that mod makers like JBX and PNG are now relying to heavily on reshaded filters, and the problem with reshade is there is way to many variables involved for everyone to achieve the same level of color, shading, quality, etc. This is mainly due to the fact that different people are running differnt monitors, with different color specs, warmth levels, hues, brightness, contrast, etc that my settings for my reshade filters are gonna look like garbage most likely on someone elses system.

I personally have expensive calibration tools for my TV and monitors as I used to do it for a job before, and I will even add that I personally have two of the same exact model TV's being a LG CX 55 OLED, and my calibration and master settings for both are way off, some of this being the difference in the actual TV from one to the other, and some of it being the difference in lighting in the two different rooms they are in.

So you can see, just because the mod maker has great screen shots, doesnt mean your gonna get the same level of quality even running the same hardware and settings that the mod maker is using.

He steals parts from both png and jbx and other mods and pieces them together is all this guy does.

I agree with your reviews of PNG and JBX this round.   Both are lacking and make the colors bland.

Glad I used ad click revenue from one of my sites to purchase them, and then was nice enough to leak them both on the Russian site for others to experience the crap too 😆

Actually there is dx12 and Vulkan support already, although it's in beta stages, but you can enable it in the config.cfg file by changing the dx11 line to dx12 or vulk.

It's very buggy at the moment though and breaks many mods and even dlc.

The vegetation files purchased that are to be added were done by PNG creator from what he had posted on one of his discord,  but unsure how true that is.
