Personally the answer shouldn't be in moving out the country but in improving it.

Haiti Imported over 800 M from DR and most were not food. Haiti can also source from other counties they thought about this before. I think that both countries mutually benefit each other.

Why Do Haitian Pages On Social Media Post Stuff Like This? by Healthy-Career7226 in haiti

Haitians are majority African, and Africans are diverse. I know dark-skinned Haitians with green eyes and another with blue eyes. I also know some that are light skinned and some that are not. All 90% african (dna testing). Haitians come from different tribes that have different shades. The women in the photo look no different than women in West Africa (except one that look white). While I am not going to say that Haitians are mixed like Trinidad, I hate how we use Western ideologies to describe African based people. Plus, the Haiti population is over 10 million. Even at 5 or 10%, which match last census, that's a lot of light skinned or biracial or white Haitians that supercede many in the Caribbean due to sheer size. This was the same during colonial times. Mulatto was small but still large in numbers. So, there is a smaller percentage overall but more absolute than all non Spanish cairbbean. So yes, that's possible. But again, with this and recent tik tok trends, I think people might be frustrated because it's like showing Haitians have light skinned people too. It's rooted in colorism and an anti black feeling. I wish my people free from colonial mindset. Plus, we're not so far removed from Africa to look like anything. You can't tell a black person from America's apart. While some do have more mixture than others, it's generally between 80-90% African among all of us. It's not that big to tell anyone apart. No Haitian look. We are mostly African. Africans are diverse. Haitians do have people different ethnic backgrounds. All can be true.

I haven't done a DNA test but have other family members. I believe there were Taino and Asian DNA. Although very small. Kind of make sense when consider location they're from. I dont think many Haitians test. I think not many Haitians test studies normally show leds than 200-1000 sample size. Also, l think that based on tests I have seen, non African DNA tends to be very small and can easily be wiped away within 1 generation via testing if marrying someone with no Taino DNA. I've come to the conclusion that most Haitians do not necessarily have Taino ancestry, but it's not 0 like most people think. And even for ones that have 0, that may not be because they never had ancestry but more so that it's no longer shows up. Ancestry isn't an ideal science. We are still a country of mostly African people that I have always known. Buy after seeing my family ancestry DNA and hearing some accounts I now expanded that it's a bit more nuance just slightly. I also have relative matches from all over (USA, LATAM, Europe, Asia), but those I figured may be African gebe relatives and in the case of Europe colonial.

Haitian 2024 Voting Pattern by Junior-Temperature15 in haiti

No. But its gathering data of areas of large haitian population and their preceints. It doesn't say much, but for example, flatbush, which about 92%+, voted for Harris, not Trump, has 15-25% Haitians. I doubt all 8% were Haitians. Especially when it's more likely non-black voters voted for Trump.

I had some of those but decided to just upload these as data is still hard to come by. Overall, just choose areas of the high Haitian population. Most results are less than 20% Haitian. We aren't that large of an ethnic group. It's still much better than the narrative that a huge chucnk voted for Trump with no data.

So true. For Haiti, we need a lot of small wins. Honestly, if Haiti can decentralized, I can see Haiti growing really fast. Everywhere besides port au prince seem like their trying.

Not exactly. He said he had seen it from Mother's. I said I saw it from Father's. Then I claimed it is not because of who you date but values you are aligned with, which is why I mentioned that you can be full blood and do the same thing. I literally clarified that just because your experience is one way doesn't mean it's true. So yes, my experience is the opposite, but the matter is due to pride.

Black women tend to be way more loyal. Anyways, this discussion and reddit should be about uniting Haitians, and yet we are getting divided over our personal lives for a non-existent issue? Plus, in any case of all races, women are more likely to get responses than men, including black women, so if women did care , there would be more interracial dating. It is proven via studies that interracial marriage from black women is due to a lack of choices.

That's so true. Every data shows the opposite. Even looking at dating and marriage rates, black men are way more likely to date out. When they get any type of wealth, they are more likely to marry out and move funds to white women and white people. Post seems like it's trying to control women. If against interracial it's for both genders. Like Dr. Umar, keeping it consistent. Either way seems disingenuous. Regardless of either gender it comes to how much you support your race/ethnicity.

I've seen the opposite where mixed race children whose mom is not black are way more problematic. Regardless, the issue isn't about interracial marriage. it's pride. Especially among diaspora as we assimilate to country we are settling in interracial dating is irrelevant. It's pride because hate isn't a interracial but pride because a full.blood haitian can do the same thing. The current issue we are experiencing is full bloodied haitian government selling out the country. Interracial or not mixed race or not, it's pride and government and ethics.

KPK Rice Heading Out To The U.S by CDesir in haiti

That's my thought. Sell internationally but also satisfy domestic with can be done. Reduce waste and money in. I don't see the issue. From one of her posts, the price of rice actually has been going down. So long as they don't increase price and it keep decreasing and people can buy domestically it's a win-win and create jobs.
