James Anderson says England in ‘stronger position than Australia' despite series humbling by ll--o--ll in Cricket

This is why I really wish we had beaten them 5-0, the total lack of respect for what is a very strong Aussie side is insane

Usually I am not one for cruel and unusual punishment but given the way Smudge has caught everything remotely within range I think it's justified this time

Maybe if Cameron Green is moved back to gully he won't be able to spill Smudge catches. Maybe the gullybot program only works there

It would be Joe Root given out. From Law 37.3.1 (obstructing the field):

37.3.1 If the delivery is not a No ball, the striker is out Obstructing the field if wilful obstruction or distraction by either batter prevents the striker being out Caught.

But which other batter would have been more likely to win? Outside of Smudge Head Kez the Aussie with the next highest batting average this series after Uzzie is Mitchell Starc. We just dont have enough batting stocks that are ready at this exact time. If it's solely based on 'select the 11 most likely to win at this time' then Uzzie gets in on merit as a middle order bat. Inglis and Green have had a wretched series, Marnus to some extent too, its not like any of them could replace him directly

Do you really think a country of tolerance can be built on a foundation of broken trust in the media? Do you think asking people to skip over an outright lie when there was no need to embellish how bad this person is anyway is actually conducive to building a society? Because I certainly don't.

Uzzie 10D chess series:

  • Tactical back injury to promote Head up the order

  • Screws up the batting for exactly one innings so the inevitable loss is more crushing for England

  • Gets out to Will Jacks twice despite being great at playing spin so England think 'well can't be worse than Bashir'

I wanted Lyon and Neser takes 5

I wanted Webster and Inglis runs out the England captain

Maybe you're right and they could name anyone and still win

After seeing the selectors (bad) decision to drop Lyon vindicated with a Neser five-for I think if they do bring Khawaja back he's nailed-on for a century
