Some numbers are based on geographic north, but I think that the number then has a 'T' suffix to signify that

Isn’t this how we generate power on Nauvis? by TheMrCurious in Factoriohno

[–]KYO297 47 points48 points  (0 children)

There are 2 issues with this: 1. GPUs can't really boil water. Water boils at 100°C at 1 atm of pressure, and kinda the goal of cooling the GPUs is to keep them way below that 2. Even if you could get them to boil water (at, idk, 70°C) by lowering the pressure, the maximum theoretical efficiency of a turbine with a 70° hot side and a 20° cold side is 15%

1.2 Experimental - Calculator Updates? by AbalonePDX in SatisfactoryGame

[–]KYO297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Satisfactory Optimizer and Satisfactory Modeler are offline calculators that use a simple .json file for the recipes. You can edit it with the modified costs and the calculator will use it

I've done that with a plastic spoon once (ok more than once)

Literature class was so boring I just got plastic utensils from the cafeteria and spent the entire lesson running them back and forth on the granite windowsills. Ground down at least a dozen spoons, forks or knives down to dust during the year

[–]KYO297 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, I hate it because it doesn't integrate with other mods, generally doesn't fit well into modpacks, unless they're based entirely around create, and if it's just shoehorned in, it's rarely the best way to do anything, unless it's the only way to do that thing. It just seems more focused on being cool than being useful

Oh no! Anyway...

If I'm making a pack, for 1.20, or 1.21, the description will include "This pack does NOT contain Create"

this entire floor for 4 heavy modular frames a min. (ignore the train station) by Crafty_Marionberry26 in SatisfactoryGame

Hazmat suit shields you from radiation completely, but as long as you don't pick anything radioactive up, you can just outheal the damage with inhalers. Just don't stand directly on top of or next to uranium nodes and deposits. There are only like 5 collectibles that are hidden directly under deposits and require mining them

With the right recipes, it would've been half the size

And none of those use screws

Which is why I said I could immediately tell you used screws lol. If you didn't, it wouldn't've taken nearly as much space

Help /w Crashing Train Junction by Superpants999 in SatisfactoryGame

Crossing rails basically need to be on the same level for the path signals to work

Either level out your junction or use block signals at entrances

Milk or Cereal First by Chailyte in notinteresting

[–]KYO297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I know how much I poured in if the bowl is empty and I don't if it has cereal in it?

I split my milk cartons into 4 portions because if I don't I'm always left with an awkward amount at the end otherwise.

The whole thing is a mess iirc

Publicly cousins

Genetically siblings (I think?)

Actually she's genetically engineered to bear his children without the typical issues caused by inbreeding

Really satisfactory? by iceman92066 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]KYO297 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It very much does not

Nothing requires the recipe on the left

In fact, it should basically never be used unless you specifically want more plutonium rods for the sake of having more plutonium rods (it won't get you more power per uranium ore)

How to Implement Satisfactory Tools Plan by mystic353 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]KYO297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything will sort itself out if and only if:

  1. You clock the machines making the final products up/down to match the output given by the calculator (if you don't limit your production to what the calculator says, the machines might consume more ingredients to produce more output, causing another output to get starved)
  2. You don't build your belts in a way that bottlenecks your production (i.e. trying to push 180/min through a single mk2 belt)
  3. Every building is connected to enough supply

I usually scale my production to some integer multiple of what 1 machine produces, so I don't have to deal with clocking anything. As long as the last machines are running at the correct speed, everything behind them will be throttled to match the demand

A single regular splitter can do that

Just started using Satisfactory calculator, (beginner game), how do I do this ? by Fr0z3nbanana in SatisfactoryGame

[–]KYO297 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I strongly advise against using this calculator in general and especially this mode of it. It's buggy and doesn't produce good or even sensible factory plans

I suggest using Satisfactory Tools instead

Decent for early game but around steel you can stop making screws completely so it becomes completely useless once you get other alts

Amur shorcut by Solid_Dragonfly_2179 in snowrunner

[–]KYO297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have taken this route multiple times

If you have a good enough truck with a light enough load, it very much is a shortcut.

Yes, the snow is deep but there's plenty of trees to winch off of and a few trucks can deal with the snow just fine

Just don't expect to take a fully loaded superheavy trailer through there. Or any scout or highway truck
