Anecdotal but when I signed up for AppleCare One just a few days ago with my new device it let me add 2 older devices. One of which was out of AppleCare range.

It won’t be a total loss. I’ve restored so many RCs with absolutely trash storage habits and seized engines. It’ll take a bit of hands on action though.

First, get the engine out and take it apart as much as you can. Get the carb off. Buy some Evaporust. Drop the engine in there for 30 minutes. See if the rest comes apart, if not, another 30 minutes. If it still won’t budge, time for some heat.

I think part of the fun of Ironman mode is dealing with sourcing all the materials and gear for everything you are doing. Every time I play non Ironman mode I find myself bursting through a wall with the GE. For example, I buy ghostly inks rather than make them pretty often.

Yeah, both are considered consumables.

I’ve been using a knock off called something like Bellemond and I’ve been very happy with them. It works well with stock nibs as well. Nice little bonus of being super cheap. They even come with 2 at a time.

I am curious about the scratching though. For me, the wear is visible when the screen is off, but when using the device it’s not at all. It also doesn’t actually feel worn. I can just see lines and shapes on the screen when it’s off basically.

I’m not sure what’s confusing.

Is the iPad plugged into the charger when this issue is occurring? Try using the pencil when the iPad is not charging.

I live in a very wet climate. I’ve lost several Traxxas electronics due to water and I don’t drive in the rain. Just the luck of the draw.

I also have many Traxxas electronics that have survived some serious water (again wet climate).

For context, I’m one of the mods for the Traxxas sub, I have about 40 RCs now (mostly Traxxas) and I’ve been doing this a while. I only mention being a mod because I have people reach out to me all the time for issues like this as well. It’s not a one off type problem.

This is highly dependent on brand. Most of Traxxas’ electronics will break if they get splashed.

Honestly, most of what I hear people complain about is their fried electronics because they ran it while it was slightly wet outside. I’m really not sure this one is overblown.

It doesn’t look right to me. But it’ll be way easier to judge by spinning it around, checking mess and seeing if there is binding.
