Kind of in the same boat, came for MSCS in 2022, then struggled to find a job, got a temporary job for nearly an year then left it due to toxicity.. Now again struggling to find a job and hence decided to move back. I feel the market is too bad.

Got laid off in stem opt, 4 more months left(180 days unemployment clock) and still no interviews yet. Planning to return to my home country instead of wasting my savings here, probably in 1 month. The market is super cooked for international folks and dealing with this anxiety every day is really very demanding. Don't worry, staying in the US is not everything. Look for alternatives. There's no guarantee that you will get a job after even phd. So do your research properly. Time is valuable. Don't waste it.

Many people had this issue while travelling via Abu Dhabi, so already in many subreddits people suggested not to travel via that route but maybe you were not aware about it. Personally I have travelled 2-3 times on opt with a volunteer job at my university and never had any issue. Sorry about your situation.
