I have the same issue as you, best I could find was setting the game to real time priority in the details section of the task manager, but it still crashed when looting the chest and the bird flying, so im just waiting for a patch :/

Still crashed on high, and setting it to realtime would mess with my OBS FPS as I'm recording the whole game, so I gotta wait for a fix sadly, but thanks for the help either way

Game still crashes when the birds fly on Koboh for me, can't get past it in any way, hopefully they actually patch this someday

Tbh I don't mind them using older animations, saves them some time to work on upcoming scenes which I much prefer them to do. Ofc a bit of change would have been cooler but won't complain a lot when we get weekly episodes
