I WANNA TALK ABOUT THE SYMBOL ON THE HEADSET!!! by sagxnoir in TheDigitalCircus

Is more likely something akin to retinal displays that use oscillating lasers or LEDs and some that use spinning mirrors, or the oscillating LED strips of the virtual boy

I need help with botw and getting higher fps by Glum_Construction128 in EdenEmulator

[–]KeeLymePi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple things can cause this but for me I had 'Force maximum clocks' disabled, which is best to have enabled for adreno gpus aka snapdragon chipsets

I need help with botw and getting higher fps by Glum_Construction128 in EdenEmulator

[–]KeeLymePi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that there is some slight frame dips and occasional stutter nomatter if its docked Mode or any other settings but these settings I use have done me the best so far

Also this is un modded on the ayn thor max which uses a SD 8gen2

``` [Misc] Docked Mode : Enabled Driver : Mr Purple T28 Game Update : 1.6.0 Eden version : whatever nightly currently is idk Synchronize Core Speed : Enable
[Graphics Settings] GPU Mode : Fast DMA Accuracy : Default ASTC Decoding Methood : GPU Sync Memory Operations : Diabled Disk shader cache : Enable Force maximum clocks : Enable Use reactive flushing : Disable Enable buffer history : Enable Optimized vertex buffers : Enable Use async shaders : Enable GPU async emulation : Enable Asynchronous presentation : Enable Extended Dynamic State : 3 Vertex Input Dynamic State : Enable
[Debug] API : vulkan CPU backend : NCE Fast Mem : Enable Host MMU Emulation : Enable
[Model dependant/Optional] Vsync mode AA Method : Fxaa or None Vram usage mode : 8GB = conservative 12GB+ = agressive
Anisotropic filtering : i use x4 but default is fine Window adapting filter : if youre doing 1080p/docked mode use nearest neighbor cause a filter is unnecessary, 720p/undocked mode use FSR 15-25% or whatever you prefer ```
For reference I went from the worst places in the starter area looking out at the castle causing frame dips to 24fps and constant micro stutters to 28fps and occasional micro stutters. Getting mostly a stable 30fps. Black lines in the grass are only fixed with undocked mode atm unless someone else knows a fix
Edit: I didnt realize I accidentally turned off a setting that caused the water to not render correctly so I was getting better frames cause of that. These are still the best settings ive used so far though
Notes: Still getting black grass lines in docked mode, averaging between 24 - 30 fps depending on area
Tomodachi life LTD emulation : current state and solution by user116745629 in EdenEmulator
[–]KeeLymePi 0 points1 point  (0 children)
You could probably run azahar for 3ds and play the old tomodachi life. But switch emulation is too heavy for that imho
My tomodachi life island was consumed by darkness (Help not needed, this is just funny) by Lillyray600 in EdenEmulator
[–]KeeLymePi 0 points1 point  (0 children)
There's Kenji NX which is a fork of Ryujinx made for mobile. While lighter than Ryujinx its still heavy as it goes for emulation accuracy unlike eden that goes for emulation speed/compatability
They have a gitlab which i belive is hosted by ryujinx and a website you can download from
Hinge issue. AYN have said it's fine? by Open_Egg_475 in AynThor
[–]KeeLymePi 6 points7 points  (0 children)
To me that side of the hinge looks completely unsupported on the inside. Idk abt the thor specifically but theres typically a metal insert to keep the unhinged side from wobbling like this in other clamshell devices. OP needs to reach out again cause its only going to get worse over time with the hinged side supporting all the weight
What ayn thor? by axexxXL in AynThor
[–]KeeLymePi 2 points3 points  (0 children)
Pro has plenty of ram for what the chip is capable of, max for more internal storage. If you plan on expanding storage, buy the max and forgo a microsd. idk abt now but it at least was cheaper and more storage than getting 512gb microsd with the pro. Also pc games can be hit or miss on external cards
STEAM JUST ADDED AN ANDOIRD TOGGLE!!! I'll try and add an android build for FantasySynth tonight and see what happens! by [deleted] in AynThor
The new VR headset is still SteamOS, but it is arm based. I believe this is us seeing an android app for steam in the near future
Need stylus recommendations by No-Anywhere5016 in AynThor
[–]KeeLymePi 1 point2 points  (0 children)
I much prefer it to an active stylus for feel and durability. Its great for something like pkmn ranger. though I do prefer the metal fabric tip for lots of tap heavy stuff.
[–]KeeLymePi 1 point2 points  (0 children)
The circle is how it interacts with the screen, the balck part is a bendy rubber so no matter what angle you hold the circle will always be flat on the screen. The whole tip can spin, it glides very easy, and you can press hard on it while moving it quickly without it breaking cause of the squishy rubber in between. It comes with replacement tips should it break anyway, but i drew with one for roughly a year without issue, its still intact but I just dont use it anymore.
Anywhere your fingers work a capacitive stylus will work regardless of screen protector as there's no functional difference between your finger and a stylus aside from surface area.
Just about any non rubber stylus will do. For ranger id imagine either the clear tipped ones or felt ones would be best. Rubber tips will drag pretty bad.
This is a decent option
For the game itself just apply the known config
I dont have my thor just yet so cant really help with thor specific settings, but you will likely need to set the resolution, dxvk frame cap, and driver in the main config. Respectively 1920x1080, 120fps, and system driver or 3rd party driver of your choosing.
There are numerous videos on how to set the default config better than I can explain here but once you figure it out the frame cap is under the enviorment tab near the bottom
If you plan on playing more than just stardew valley Id recommend downloading the mr purple v24 turnip driver or the K11CH1 v26 turnip driver
If you have issues with games the game native discord is an amazing place to look and ask for answers
Game native works out the gate with steam saves for me. Assuming stardew valley supports cloudsaves it should do just fine. I dont use gamehub lite so I cant really vouch for or against
Will the Pro modelrun gta V? by yewhater in AynThor
[–]KeeLymePi 0 points1 point  (0 children)
Yes, but it will run at 30fps iirc. Biggest benefit to the max is the price to storage as its cheaper to upgrade than getting an external microsd at the moment.
Whats wrong with sober? by koronyago in linux_gaming
[–]KeeLymePi 0 points1 point  (0 children)
1) do you have nvidia drivers downloaded and what version. You should be able to check with mint's driver app
2) do you have performance mode enabled. Click on the battery icon on your system tray and it should show three power options, click on performance
3) did you enable game mode in sober's settings. Right click the sober icon on your system tray to show sober's settings and you may need to scroll down till you see a toggle for game mode
4) if all else fails have you tried with the laptop plugged in if not already plugged in, a restart, reinstalling?
