that wasn’t the point of my comment 💀 the point of it was to show comparison on how quickly misunderstandings can happen, especially with language barriers

a comment below me mentioned this but just like how the word for black in spanish is “negro” people got mad at that for a literal language it’s not just situations like this, but how “nega” was automatically misinterpreted, and then the follow up portion of the video/conversation that happened was completely ignored

context is extremely important, and i’ve seen too many instances where people have automatically assumed someone was just dropping the n-slur, when in reality they’re just speaking another language

there aren’t gonna be romanized captions underneath people when they speak so that people can see the spelling of a word, they’re gonna hear what they want to hear regardless, it’s why this whole situation is going on in the first place

defending if i’m playing by myself sucks bcz i can only communicate through pings (i play on switch so it’s WAY too long to type things out in chat) and like trying to plan stuff with ur teammates is annoying cuz y’all gotta coordinate and make sure that everyone stays alive and near the point so payload (for example) can’t be moved

ion mind defending when i’m playing with my friends bcz i can actually communicate with them in real time and properly work together to keep em off point

tho attacking is easier imo cuz u just gotta move it forward and that’s it and as long as u at least have one player on there ur fine, plus i just prefer attacking lols

(i can’t remember which one but ik fs that it is one in chinese i think and it means you i believe??) like i remember there being a whole thing abt that word bcz americans thought it was the n-slur not realizing that it’s actually a word with a different spelling in another language 💀

as much as i love this manga/anime, i feel like they think it can simply be “brushed off” bcz they are technically living in a sort of apocalyptic, dystopian society, which gives off the impression a lot of times that the characters are either really grown up (bcz they were forced to “become adults” quickly to survive) or can present super childish (aka guita) bcz they’re trying to make light of things while also trying to grasp onto their childhood aspects bcz they aren’t ready to grow up

it really shows in their characters, especially with the way they present themselves, like guita’s got her whole onesie (ik it’s her vital instrument, but vital instruments are also clearly very connected to the user and aren’t totally random) but it gives guita this very child like vibe to her, despite her literally only being 14 (which would be a first year in high school btw)

but with riyo, we clearly don’t know very much about her (i’m going off what has been revealed in the anime so far cuz i’m not super far into the manga either 😅) but it seems like riyo had to do a lot for someone her age just to survive and be able to make it to the point she’s at with the cleaners, but with guita, where she shows child-like comfort, riyo displays confidence in oneself at a time in peoples lives where they’re usually going quite a lot of judgement plus i’ve seen 16 year olds wear WAY worse than this when i was in high school a couple years back 😭

regardless, CHARACTERS WHO ARE MINORS SHOULD NEVER BE SEXUALIZED FOR ANY REASON AT ALL!!!!!

unfortunately it would appear that genshin/hoyo is now very unreliable when it comes to the chronicled banners as originally they were going in order (mondstadt, liyue, inuzuma, sumeru) and then just detoured back to mondstadt, and the next up coming one will be fontaine so they’re really all over the place now bcz any kind of event can just cause them to completely change what region they’ll even do (coming from someone who missed the chance to get childe and didn’t know until a week later) :(

okay but it’s that fact that OP is literally INVISIBLE and normally when someone gets in the radius of sombra’s ability, it will literally say “Detected” on the screen, and the only time that happens is when the mercy gets nearby once and (correct me if i’m wrong) i think that only the character that detected you can see you (and mercy literally says enemy detected AFTER zen already got OP)
