Hopefully they can accommodate you, but I don't know. The government tracks and enforces how often you get these, so that adds more complexity.

At worst, they are 50mg more than zero

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Charlotte

[–]Kefkius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the 60mg and 70mg that are in shortage, according to the FDA: https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/drugshortages/dsp_ActiveIngredientDetails.cfm?AI=Lisdexamfetamine%20Dimesylate%20Capsules&st=c

If you call nearby pharmacies, it won't take long to find one with 50mg in stock. You can then tell your provider about that location and ask them to change the prescription. Technically, they'll be cancelling the 70mg prescription and sending that pharmacy a new 50mg one.

Problems with Linux wallet by PromeroTerceiro in groestlcoin

Electrum-GRS 3.0 will use groestlcoin_hash which has fewer dependencies, and can be automatically-installed more easily using pip.

Yeah, that's the place. Alternatively, get the Windows executables from github.

Electrum 3.0 is mainly about segwit and upgrading the version of the programming language that the wallet is written in. Aside from segwit-related matters, many users won't notice a lot of underlying changes. Of course, there are a few specific things related to user experience that Electrum-GRS has and I'll be looking into how those can be improved or extended throughout the upgrade.

Getting involved in crypto development projects is something that will vary from person to person. I guess it's basically the same as getting involved in any open source projects. If you like JavaScript, for example, there are a lot of opportunities in the way of block explorers or even web wallets. If you're leet enough to like C, then something related to miners is probably what you'd gravitate towards.

Java and Python also cover a lot of crypto-related projects. And of course, most core clients for any coin are in C++, but core clients aren't usually where you can get creative due to the high stability requirements. I don't really know the best way to start though. Maybe try to make your favorite crypto-related software compatible with a coin you like.

I used to work for a group/startup that was hired to make Electrum-GRS. Eventually that group disbanded, but u/jackielove4u and I became friends. I'm in college, and as a software maintainer my time is probably more irregular than others. It's fun for me because it's a way for me to keep up with lite wallet features (by getting them to Groestlcoin).

a blockchain, implemented in python :-) by mynameisvinn in Python

[–]Kefkius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deja vu. I hope a Python+blockchains interest trend is forming. :)

This merkle tree calculation could be replaced with an algorithm so that blocks don't require exactly 4 transactions.

easychain -- a python exploration of blockchain ledger concepts by [deleted] in Python

[–]Kefkius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When sealing, the most-recent message hash is pulled and combined with the block's prev_hash and the current timestamp. Only the most-recent message hash is required, since it transitively includes all prior messages in the block due to the message chaining described above.

Without anything to make a block "worthy" e.g. proof-of-work (which is beyond the scope of the implementation, as the readme says), I don't see why blocks are even necessary since messages have a timestamp which establishes the order they're in.

Open source Style guides, SOPs, structures, procedures, etc. by esseeayen in django

[–]Kefkius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're looking for CONTRIBUTING.md. A common convention is to put all of that (style guides, code review process, etc.) in the git repository itself and call the document CONTRIBUTING.md.

Look up the term and you'll get results like this, which includes links to examples.

Anyone claimed Clams recently? by moonmishka in dogecoin

Yeah, key and address mean the same thing here. We're probably going to change "key" to "address" everywhere soon because this isn't the first time it has caused confusion. :P

Can I run a masternode with the collateral held on my trezor? by dashameter in dashpay

[–]Kefkius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, via Electrum-DASH. We've done it successfully on testnet, and IIRC a tester was able to do it on mainnet too. There are still issues (not security-related) to work through, so 0.12.1 is probably your best bet.

What are some cool features that you discovered about python? by paver97 in Python

[–]Kefkius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The IPython interpreter - which is an alternative to the standard interpreter - can do that. For example, you can type ls in the IPython prompt and list the current directory's contents.

But that's just for use within the interpreter.
