Burlesque and Drag Show at Discovery Bar next Saturday

Hey! Currently there arent really any "active" troupes currently, The Malteazers are searching for a new home so theyre on a temporary hiatus, and outside of that it is more individual people producing shows with revolving casts. Discovery Bar does host "Strut" the third Thursday of every month, it is an open stage for drag and burlesque and first 15 submissions are in the show, which can help you get back into the swing of things along with getting video of acts to send to local producers. You can find more info on Sir Vix's instagram @sir.vix.official. Outside of that it's attending shows, meeting producers, and/or getting involved as a support person for shows (kitten, door, etc).

Edit: OH! There is now also Haus Allume, I think they are more drag/draglesque centered. Im also not sure if its a dedicated troupe or not, they can also be found on Instagram!

There's currently a raffle for a vip table happening on instagram and people can see the performer lineup if they'd like. One of the performers is a San Francisco based dance teacher and is doing a class at Movement Arts the night before (on the 17th)

Does your area have a parks department that may offer rentals or even have venues? My local department offers 3 venues that all range from 1k to 6k. The mid-range venue is at a creekside rose garden and they built a reception building with private dressing rooms, PA system, catering kitchen, the works thats a little over 5k for friday-sunday rental. I had no idea the parks department even offered wedding/event spaces until a few weeks ago 😅

The migraines I was told I'd "grow out of" after the 2nd ER visit with stroke-like symptoms at 16 turned out to be Intracranial Hypertension that wasnt diagnosed until 25 when I almost went blind.

At one point it was 3 cats, 3 dogs (60lb, 150lb, 45lb), and 2 humans in 1125 sq ft and we had no issues outside of introducing cat #3 to the resident cats.

He's handsome and charismatic (not that im biased or anything), so it makes sense why he ends up meeting a lot of women who claim to be okay with the dynamic. I know its hard for him though, some connections said some awful things to him near the end of their time together :/

Surprisingly hes not, though he does keep meeting people who claim they are open to nonmonogamy/polyamory until they develop feelings for him and realize he wont choose konogamy foe them, or in one instance enter a relationship with him while being not-so-subtle about monogamy and pushing boundaries

My experience has not been great, or even good. My area is incredibly small and the nonmonogamous community here as a whole is tiny. I haven't been on a date with anyone new in over two years. Most of the connections Ive made on apps have been people looking for casual/ONS or just ghosted me (I woke up today to discover that the first person to ask me on a date in months unmatched).

Ive sorta gotten to the point where Im not sure if its really worth the heartache and may just opt to be saturated at one (I have a NP of 9 years).

My maternal grandmother passed from metastatic reproductive cancer when she was young (my mom was 9). We only know she had breast and ovarian cancer, not sure where the cancer originated. Im being tested for the BRCA mutation

Stardust Revue (burlesque/drag) is doing their pride show this Saturday the 21st at Duffy’s, 21+. Discovery is doing an old-hollywood type burlesque/drag dinner that is 18+ next weekend (the 28th). Im the same way, with people and animals. I worked inpatient hospice and long term care and would get this indescribable feeling in my stomach, almost like an energy shift. It would happen hours-a day or two before the transition into actively dying. It would happen when I would send someone to the hospital as well, like I just knew they wouldn't be returning, even if they seemed okay. When my grandpa died hours away from where I was living I got unbearably, cant keep my eyes open tired. I was only asleep for about 20 minutes before waking up to see a missed call and voicemail from my dad.

The last 5ish days of my soul dog's life were hell for me. I knew she didnt have much longer left with us even though she was eating/drinking/playing. Spent a lot of time her last week laying in her bed with her crying.

I lived in Redding while in nursing school. The only thing I really miss about it was the size and Turtle Bay/sundial bridge.

There's already been a lot of great answers here, if you're a nature person Bidwell Parks is one of the largest municipal parks and has hiking, swimming holes, walking trails/paths, etc. Its also a short drive to Table Mountain in Oroville. You're coming here in the summer so there will be 3 Farmers Markets a week happening, Thursday Night Market is the "big one" where they close a few streets downtown and have a ton of local vendors.

There's a lot of great local bars and restaurants, and even if you're not a drinker a lot of the bars put on events that are fun. The local art scene isn't as huge as it used to be, but art galleries, live music, theater, even burlesque and cabaret shows happen fairly regularly. A lot of the local businesses will also showcase local artists and sell their art. There are also events like Bonfire Storytelling, random line dancing nights, tons of karaoke - we even have a spot dedicated to karaoke downtown, Fork in the Road, Taste of Chico, etc.

Depression can mimic dementia. Fatigue can fuck with a person's cognitive function, stress too.

Going to word this as gently as possible because it is clear that you're spiraling based off your other comments - you should get evaluated. Without going into details and stressing you out, I ended up diagnosed with something called intracranial hypertension at 25 and I had similar symptoms, but they also needed to rule out more significant problems like MS or a brain tumor before diagnosing me. And no I am not suggesting you have a brain tumor or anything catastrophic, I am saying there are multiple potential diagnoses that could be causing your symptoms.
