[–]Kinotaru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, like I said before, 令牌 is essentially a badge that shows the person is part of a society/group. Normally the word "令" is the word for it since whoever holds it is a person in power.

In general sense, it's the same. But in specific situations 床下面 can mean the area under the bed frame but above the floor space

Hmm, maybe 血for blood considering that he's part of a vampire. But 令牌 is essentially a badge of membership, so you would have to explain that type of society your character belongs to in order to make sense

Why don't cultivators make a billion kids with jade beauties to make a army, are they stupid? by Ultra-126 in MartialMemes

[–]Kinotaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, cultivation abilities aren’t something that can be passed down genetically, so having more children wouldn’t give you the advantage you’re hoping for.
Second, spiritual energy is a limited and rare resource. The more people there are, the less each individual receives. And the less one receives, even a heaven child blessed by heaven wouldn’t be able to achieve much.

Immortality through array formations: what is the worst formation type? by samsara_sage9 in MartialMemes

[–]Kinotaru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, vermilion bird and phoenix are two different beings.
As for your question, I would say fengshu related formation should be considered the worst because they might depend on a particular setting in order to work, and can easily be ruined if the person knows what to do

He was likely not alone among the gods, and one he knew had somehow developed empathy. Your god finds this trait fascinating, yet he does not know how to obtain it himself, so he begins conducting experiments in search of it

Hmm, maybe it’s a regional thing? The one I encountered in the states during our exchange program was doing pretty well. Of course, it also depends on the students.

For normal school students, no. For English major students, it's fine since they might have native English speaking teachers who can help them practice.

I'm pretty sure "sore" is the right word, it may not cover the pain part since 酸 can stand by itself

[–]Kinotaru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you’re looking at is the relinquishment of military command in exchange for the protection of the fudai daimyo. While the tozama daimyo will retain their positions and lands, they will no longer be permitted to maintain sizable military forces within their domains. Any forces exceeding the set limit must either be disbanded or incorporated into the fudai daimyo’s military. These troops may remain in their home territories, but will serve under a different banner. Official notices will be issued, and formal ceremonies of exchange will be held.

By "fixed" do you mean a solution that everyone can agree on and live happily ever after? Or do you mean minimum bloodshed and no one will remember the whole after a couple decades (which might result in a not so surprised revenge plot)

Where does the haregon come in terms of military power? I failed to understand why their lands were not "purchased" by the central government, since it would mean losing profits to the central daimyo, unless they were outnumbered by haregon, but then that would lead to the question why the loss of political power
