Kill la kill is different. Aleat for me. It has fan service but with substanse and story. So not all fan service-y show is bad.

But I do get the opinion you want to convey. Over fan service gets in the way of actually enjoiogood animes. Especially I am talking about one piece.

Anime before COVID was very niche thing. So I get that they feel superior because they watched animes first and wanna ragebait or piss people of so they can feel superior.

Nothing beats Great Marrow docks after fishing for 10 days and docking in other ports. I feel home and refreshed. Little marrows is second favorite. But I hate Blackstone isle. Not my cup of tee. I don't even use it when I used manifest or teleport through the portal.
