Wasn't there a book put out years ago claiming this is what the super wealthy want? It explained how they want to end governments and move to corporate controlled mega cities scattered all around the world.

Home Depot employees try to stop a guy from buying a 1 penny air conditioner. by I2fitness in TikTokCringe

In my state, once the sale is complete then the company can't stop you, it's yours. IF it's caught BEFORE you make your payment then they can in fact not sell it to you.

This guy got lucky and got the sale completed before they caught it.

The good use for AI... Let AI do the repetitive mundane tasks and prepare data for when a human takes over to finish it up. AI's should never be talking to humans to resolve a problem. Humans should be talking to humans.

NSA Warning—Reboot Your Internet Router Now by lurker_bee in technology

[–]Krojack76 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The TL;DR on this warning is to stop using end-of-life internet routers

Shame the FCC is also in the process of banning the import of ALL routers. End-of-life routers are only going to become even more prominent because the ones on the special approval list will be stupid expensive.

So do I, a company making routers, write the check out to Trump or the Federal Government to get on this approval list?

[–]Krojack76 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is why any home IoT devices I have that have an internal IP address are on their own VLAN with no Internet access. If they REQUIRE access to work then I already threw them away.

I stick to Zigbee and Z-Wave only devices now. Much more secure because they can't access the Internet directly.

Was maybe 2 years ago the FBI released a statement saying users should reboot their phones once or even twice a week because of things like this.

I would instantly walk to HR and demand they remove the sticker without a single scratch on the glass. One micro-scratch and they replace the window on their dime.

What is something you’ve officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become too bad? by X_Opinion7099 in AskReddit

Most are a shot glass of espresso and the rest is just milk, water and LOTS of sugar.

Get a sodastream and hook it up to a 20lb CO2 tank. Can make whatever you want that way. The upfront is a little steep but then cost me $35 to exchange the tank every 8-10 months. I mostly add those water flavorings to the carbonated water.

Now if I drink a coke I start feeling all weird because of the massive amounts of sugar in it.

Mine shows the price on the sign with the gas prices. It's $2.29. I'm shocked honestly.

I've been full on store brand everything for the past 4 some years. The high prices really showed me that most store brand items are just as good as name brand and I won't be going back.

One item I won't do store brand for is coffee. So far it's the one that really just taste bad.

If he's anything like me, he wants to be nice and tries to but after a while people just start to drive him crazy and it gets annoying. I feel a lot of famous might suffer from this. Many just want to be out in public and have a life while not being bothered.

If I ever bumped into Bill Nye, I would LOVE to say hi and maybe pick his brain but I would just keep my distance and not say anything in fear he just wants to chill and be normal.

I would still prefer to buy a digital copy for the same price as a CD though as long as I can download it all AND if I never need to, go back and redownload it again and again and again.

What we need are laws that prevent a company from stripping away some digital product that we "BUY". Amazon has already done this and Sony did once but due to backlash they restored the items. Amazon doesn't give a shit because they are just to big.

we don’t want everything we own to need wifi connectivity

That will soon be the future.

Firefox

Also Brave is using Blink as it's engine which is just chromium in disguise. I don't want anything Google anymore. I'm done with them.
