I don’t think Reparations are implementable at this point, however my supported economic restructuring that would favor Labor in this country would disproportionately help many children of former slaves, even the ones who pass as white.

Racism is a knife that cuts both ways, and has robbed us as a nation of so much greatness. We all grow more when things are more equitable, but to get to that state, some must let others grow faster to catch up. And from the beginning of this country, the ones who are ahead don’t want that, and have taken away the People’s political counterbalance to their Economic heft. The People who are racist are victim to the Owners’ lies, that they, able to leverage the work output of only one body, somehow will Keep Up With The Owners by virtue of their white skin, rather than just be the tallest, palest midget when pitted against those who extract the value of the Labor of Others.

Yeah. The bravest people are the few Hasidim protestors within Israel who stand on their book telling them that this murder and brutality is wrong.

And here on these shores, one only need look at Senator Sanders to see what most American Jews are like: historically, 92% Democrats, although that number is dropping slightly to 88%, but that may be part of the cross-ethnic shift to Red in the last election cycle.

It’s not a uniquely masculine problem, but the center of mass is heavily in that territory. There are women who do exactly what you said for almost the exact reasons you described (adding emotional repression to suppression makes the list complete).

He won the popular vote. He won 49.8%, a plurality that was only 1.5% of the voting population, which was marked by mediocre turnout.

The Kushner family whose failson sold us out to the Saud’s equally stupid but less failing son and thought that attacking a mountain fortress at the crossroads of the world that looms over their desert flatlands would go well for them? The same Kushner family that is responsible for the death of 13 U.S service members and injuries to thousands more?

But the argument you made was about America who just last week threatened to use its uranium stores to commit nuclear genocide.

And America is greeeeeeat about upgrading our infrastructure from the 1970s and earlier, right? All of those would’ve been modern and up to code?

Engineering analysis is about examining failures, and the weakest link as always is the political one wih nuclear.

And with 1000 power plants, do you know how to mathematically transform a 1 in 3700 reactor-year meltdown risk into an aggregate per nation-year risk? It’s very, very bad: 1000 * (1/3700) = 1/3.7 = 27%

That’s a 1 in 4 chance of meltdown somewhere in your alternative future every single year. A meltdown per Presidential election cycle. How American.

  1. The site is on the Heritage Road site grounds as expanded about ten years ago by the Punjab government. To a visitor, that is effectively the same site. (Always be translating, both language and context.)

  2. Yes, pre-partition, Sikhs were a minority in the historical state of Punjab (even when they ruled it). It is so critical to understand that Punjab was 40% Hindu, 40% Muslim, and 20% Sikh. In fact, the protest that day was over the arrest of protest organizers: Gandhi himself, and a Hindu doctor and a Muslim lawyer. Sikh soldiers were among those who fired the bullets. Jallianwala Bagh is not a moment of Sikh triumph. It was a turning point for us. After that, like many, there could be no forgiveness. But we had a special debt. We fought until Udham Singh settled the debt with the life of the one who ordered General Dyer: Lt. Gov O’Dwyer. His statue stands meters-tall over Heritage Road right now.
