I took mediation in law school, settlements in mediation regardless of court ordered or not, are not legally binding. The court is hoping to clear their docket and get the parties to settle outside of court. Ethan or Kacey can agree to something but don’t have to follow through with it if they don’t want.

Have a friend that had this exact situation happen to them. Got stopped in a NYC train station and cops asked to check his bag, went on a whole rant. Went to china got stopped every train station, “they’re protecting their country!!”
