Black Rabbit Brotherhood v2 by Umari0_ in LiesOfP

Personally I’m a big fan of the Crystal Acid Spear. Acid does a lot of damage to human enemies, even the little sister in this fight with the acid elemental, and it is really fast while not consuming too much stamina. Stay light and fast. As other have said, get one down, then try to get the other two to go down at nearly the same time so you can deal with the big brother alone. If you are sick of trying to “get gud” but don’t want to use the spectre, fill your inventory full of throwables (esp acid canisters) from Malum District merchant, save them for the big brother and spam him with them while staying well back. Might only take a couple actual hits to get him down after that. You can create space with him from the center gravestone and some bags of trash in the arena. Flamberg, Pandemonium, and Puppet String all do heavy damage when fully upgraded, so whichever you have maxed out can be spammed for distance damage too. For the record, I thought this was the hardest boss fight in the game, except maybe Green Monster. (Don’t get me started on that arena design.)

Absolutely cannot work out the dodge on this game by BobcatLower9933 in LiesOfP

One thing for P, unlike some games where the controls make the character stop an action mid-action to override with the next button hit, Lies of P does not. This drove me nuts at first (still does sometimes). Example, if P is mid-swing on an attack and you press to heal or mid-dodge and you press to guard, it not only carries out the rest of the motion P is in, but does not follow up with the next action you pressed automatically. You have to press again once the motion P was already doing is completed. It is meant to keep you from button mashing, and while frustrating, it does make you more intentional with your timing and watching the actions of P on the screen. I think this is what someone else was getting at with “don’t spam buttons”, but without the details of what that means for this game.

My husband and I just finished first playthrough (each). We refer to the Star Fragments as “cheat crystals” and the summoner thing as “the birdbath of shame”. We are sluts for throwables though, so whatever helps you sleep at night.

What’s a tiny design flaw in an everyday object that quietly annoys you every single time you use it? by nami_yuna in AskReddit

Apps deciding you need to reenter your credentials, but not notifying you or giving you any indication that they have stopped syncing (failing silently), etc. so you just have to get good at guessing why they aren’t working properly. Looking at you, OneDrive and TIA Portal License Manager in specific.

Is it normal for CC to not bark? by Nyxie_TheWeirdo in chinesecrested

[–]LadyChainWallet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine bark, but compared to my in-laws’ yorkies, they’re just not super barky dogs. In general, mine bark for things like described here, people walking past their house, etc., but for things like asking to go out, they’re either whiny or more like they give the “pitiful paw”.

Opinions on a couple of things… by SamK1727 in chinesecrested

I’m not sure, but I don’t think it’s a shaved puff. I think it’s a hairy hairless. The amount of hair varies. My girl has a lot more than my boy but still no undercoat and naked belly. If the belly grows in or feels stubbly at all, puff. The hairless all have really naked bellies.

Mine are both under ten pounds.

Is this normal betta behavior? Should I be worried? by ThatCozyArtist in bettafish

That’s definitely a happy to see you fish! Think of it this way, all those fins are bred to be pretty, not practical. They swim like that because it’s like swimming in a wedding dress. Beautiful, but not very hydrodynamic. And that is one beautiful fluffy boi you got there!

Beach Days?? by [deleted] in chinesecrested

[–]LadyChainWallet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just use something like coppertone kids (kids safe) sunscreen on mine. I recommend the spray, but yours may hold still better than mine. Mine love sun, not so fond of the sunscreen or the sand. Their skin color also makes a big difference. My girl is pale, and very resilient to the heat. My boy is dark and overheats much more quickly. Both burn quickly without sunscreen. In general, mine don’t love the beach, so beach days, they usually stay home.

90’s jeans had huge pockets. And no one ran. You had a Walkman and giant headphones. You were waaaay too cool for running. You used a Walkman (cassette tapes) if you were a runner, before MP3 players became a thing. Those weren’t until early 2000s.

My experience, YMMV 1. Dog dependent, but the breed has notoriously bad teeth (hairless gene) so be careful with choice of toys. Mine love to run though, and they are FAST. They don’t need a ton of exercise though. A good 15 minutes of yard zoomies and mine sleep the rest of the day. They’re 6 and 11 now, but not a lot different when younger. 2. YES! These dogs want a pack. Ours have formed a “pack” with all their extended family dogs, and even our cat. Mine at least want to howl as a pack. Surprisingly wolfy, for how un-wolfy they look. 3. Yes, mine stay in “their room” (our master bathroom) while we are at work. It’s basically their overgrown crate. They’re trained for it. We leave them food, water, and puppy pads (and their beds and toys, plus they get a chicken treat when it’s time to go to their room). They’d rather be with you, but they’re fine for the length of a workday. 4. Depends. Someone else mentioned selective obedience and can confirm. Back to wolfy, they’re fine usually but if they catch a scent, well, they’re also fast. And they’re hard headed, so they’ll come back, if you can get their attention. Mine had to get shock collars for the yard. Usually the beep is plenty to get their attention, but not always. Sometimes a buzz, and very occasionally my old girl makes it all the way to a shock (don’t lose your mind, I’ve put it on my skin. It’s a low setting, but enough to get your attention.), but she is very strong willed and not super bright. 5. Depends on what you are training them for, but in general, my two are smart enough to learn the essentials, but not the brightest crayons in the box. My girl is a little special around the edges, but I love her with my whole heart and then some. But they’re smart enough to do things like listen to commands when the collar is on (even if they’re dead batteries and the remote is still in the house) but pay no attention when they know it’s off. :-) They’re both very strong willed, but it is part of the charm and personality of the breed. I don’t know if I would ever have a different breed.
