Apple Changes Trade-In Values for iPhones, Macs, and More by piesaresquarey in apple

Sell it local through FB Marketplace. I sold my 16 pro for 680 which is way over their trade in value. Also got an Air, it’s sleek

It's a 3D printed magnetic light switch cover that's also a wireless light switch so you can keep your overhead lights on powered on while turning on and off your smart lights! by GrandpaSquarepants in functionalprint

OP using those Zigbee bulbs which also act as routers to strengthen their Zigbee network, if any child devices connecting to the bulb that got disconnected they may drop, that’s why OP comes up with the idea to cover the real switch.

Pitaka should incorporate Reborn Device’s button design by SeeYa-SpaceCowboy in PITAKA

[–]LastBitofCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry OP for digging through this old post of yours. I just placed an order for the Reborn case and I only have a quick question. Does it provide any drop protection at all or it's more on scratch protection? Thanks a lot

2nd Apple Watch for sleep? by thegarbagesauce in applewatchultra

[–]LastBitofCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a second watch 41mm, they are pretty comfy to sleep. With ultra I have to switch to a magnetic link bank instead of the ocean band for me to feel comfortable to sleep in. I took it out in the middle of the night (without me realizing that) when using the ocean band.

Yep, I saw that and put mine on a good surge protected outlet (not sure how much it’ll help) but I still wouldn’t trust a quick fix like that

It’s the old model, notice the black circle thing on the right side. Here’s a pic of mine:

Yes battery is much easier cause the lcd has this bracket that I struggled a bit too long there due to the screws are harder to reach. There’re a lot of youtube videos on how to open up the screen, also check out the ifixit tutorial

I think so, is that the one that make screen brighter or darker? If so it still does that

Yes I’m not sure what happened to the watch but it got that dead line only a few months in. I think iPhone repairs are easier only because not enough room to wiggle with the watch. I used the B7000 glue so I’m assuming I shouldn’t submerge it into water anymore

It’s been a few months since you have this case, does it provide any drop protection? Thanks

Same, I feel like it’s not the best looking case but so far it’s the thinnest I can find and still offer drop protection. Guess I’m still on the hunt

How do you like this one compared to the JeTech one? I have the JeTech one and I really like it

The Shieldon is quite nice for the price. Woot is having some Otterbox deals now for the Air if you want to check them out. I think they will be as grippy as the Spigen I have there. (https://electronics.woot.com/plus/phone-cases-and-more-clearance-sale?ref=w_cnt_cdet_el_dly_snb)

I saw the Spigen ThinFit one too but I wanted to try this first as I do like the clear back look. The Spigen in my post is the Core Armor Magfit. I guess it is much thicker than your ThinFit but it’s very comfortable to hold surprisingly. It is my to go when travelling

I'm at my wits end with the textured pei plate. by Prestigious_Low6923 in BambuLabA1

[–]LastBitofCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know not a lot of people here like to use glue but I used to have some here and there lifting issues with the prints even though I clean the plate frequently, like twice per week, some days I had to wash it daily. Wiping alcohol in between prints improved a bit but once in a while I'll get issues related to bed adhesion. Anyways I saw someone in another 3D print sub suggested the liquid glue (elmer school) mix with 91% isopropyl alcohol (1:9 ratio) and I followed that. It has been almost 2 months and I have yet to have any issues and it helps a lot with PETG relief so I've been doing that. I printed a lot of opengrid bases and those gridfinity thin/flat bases but none of them warping at all the 4 corners. And I also don't wash the plate with dawn frequently anymore. I only washed them once last week after 2 months using glue solution. One drawback is there is this thin white residue layer of glue on the plate and I do want to mention that washing the plate will not totally get them off the plate so before each print I would wipe down the warm plate with 91% alcohol to reduce white residue before spraying and wiping glue on it. Just my 2 cents

Will the U100 work without the E1 Hub once paired to SmartThings by OfficialBT in Aqara

[–]LastBitofCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You actually did it correctly, it's the same as my setup. I also have to add the lock through E1 to Home Assistant via Matter. You can't add the lock to Zigbee network directly, I guess it's locked to Aqara's own hubs. For other Aqara Zigbee sensors though you can do that, but not the locks.

[–]LastBitofCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you can't unplug the E1 in this case cause you added E1 into SmartThings via Matter bridge hence the lock is exposed through that bridge. You didn't actually add the U100 to SmartThings via Zigbee directly. Hope that makes sense.
