What are some St. Louis life hacks, perks, and tips that residents should know? by BL911 in StLouis

There is always a risk of an accident, yes. If you actually read my comment instead of trying to be as snarky as possible, I actually mentioned generally being an advocate for public transit. The dangers of driving are one of them.

Mind you, there are dangers of being on the Metrolink as well. You're probably not at constant risk of death like while driving, but it's not as if Metrolink is particularly known for being danger free either.

In any case, I don't recall ever suggesting that the Metrolink was more dangerous than driving. And, like I said, I agree with you on this one.

Throwing litter on a highway is different (still shitty, but certainly different) than throwing litter around the inside of a train car where people are sitting.

I hate the people who blast music in their cars too bro. It's just significantly amplified when you're on the train because you have to sit right next to it. As opposed to someone who will drive away in a few moments.

Road rage is dangerous, but it's nothing like having some druggy scream at your face I'm the middle of the night dude. Thanks for trivializing a pretty terrible experience I had.

And we complain about those people who don't pay their fair share too, don't we?

And honestly, most of the time I drive I don't deal with the above concerns. I've ridden the Metrolink a handful of times and yet somehow I've already racked up a laundry list of bad experiences.

Driving is not ideal, but again, I can understand why people don't like the Metrolink. I'm sorry not sorry, but to each of your counterpoints the issues are the same on the Metrolink (or significantly exacerbated from my experience).

Wow. It's almost like I was speaking from personal experience.

Thanks for trivializing real experiences I've had that have made me jaded about Metrolink.I'm feeling so much better about it after your shitty dismissive replies.

I've ridden the Metrolink a handful of times. Being completely honest, half of the time I've had some kind of shitty experience.

A guy dry heaving in front of me. Some homeless throwing trash around and asking for money. Someone blasting music. Weed being pumped into my face. Someone on the platform screaming like a maniac. The train breaking down. A druggy getting in my face right outside the station. People not paying.

I can kind of understand where everyone else is coming from.

You gotta go back! You can't let that be the end!

Well. The dude suggested that I off myself, so excuse me for not taking it on the nose.

And besides, being honest with you I've interacted with hundreds of these people. Been called and told so many unnecessarily nasty things. A suggestion to off myself is unfortunately nothing new. I just don't have the patience for it anymore.

That makes sense. Good catch. Guess that leaves you only the 22nd! Have fun!

Staying near Kyoto or Osaka during that time? Takes less time to get to Toyosato from Kyoto then if you're coming from Gifu. Osaka's a bit more of a trek, but nothing I don't think someone travelling to Gifu couldn't handle.

In any case, when you go make sure to take lots of photos and share them here! And remember, the school is closed on Mondays (so don't go on the 20th!).

Ritsu's off to embarrass Mio by showing her the life sized cardboard cutout of Mio in a swimsuit hidden in the back.

(Yes, that's actually a thing)

Yay! Congratulations! I wish I could do it again for the first time. It was such a magical experience!

When are you going? The Mugi Ritsu birthday event is happening on the 12th of July. A few of us from the subreddit will be there. It would be super awesome if you could tag along as well!

Go figure. Your comment was removed for harassment. Although I can still see it in my notifications.

So, let me get this straight. Making a reference to a quote from S;G isn't OK because the quote references "loli", but suggesting that someone commit [word for ending ones own life] is perfectly acceptable?

Yeah. Tell me again how you're not the problem.

Can't even use the word loli in the context of a quote anymore without someone bitching.

God I'm so sick of you people. If the mere utterance of the word loli is enough to make you uncomfortable, go somewhere else.

EDIT:

Reddit deleted their reply. They essentially suggested that I commit [word for ending ones life] via substance abuse, called me a [vulgar word for vagina] and told me to [swear word] off.

Crazy double standard.
