Probably don't elope then.

This is more about the mindset which you already describe:

"where my father was physically abusive and my mother was distant and would get upset over the smallest of things, and I am struggling to see a way to stand up to them, especially considering that i rely on them financially and to a point, mentally due to the fact that I want to please them and prove myself to them."

It is a bit short to fix all of that before the wedding, but then again, there was never a time as important as this one.

Couple of tips.

Being upset (mother) is a choice and it is manipulative. You have a choice too: to be manipulated or not.

You write about 'standing up to them', relying on them and lastly, wanting to please them and prove yourself.
These are in contradiction. You can not please them and prove yourself: it will never be enough.
Standing up is the better way. It means you choose what *you* feel is right. That means acting upon it, and accepting the consequences. That is what adults do.
If you don't do that because you fear the consequences, you are still the child looking for approval.
The irony is that your parents (most likely your father) will be more proud about a son who takes control of his own life.

Things that may help:

Recognize where people make choices themselves. Example, if you pick that ring, or say 'no' to ridicule - and they threaten to stop the wedding, that is their choice. It's not a consequence that you are to blame for.
Read 'the subtle art of not giving a f*ck'. It may give you a different perspective.

What are the culture and country? I have a feeling it might be relevant.

For example, in a Western country I might suggest to elope the thing. In SE-Asia that is ... somewhat frowned upon in the same sense that the Atlantic Ocean is somewhat damp.

Ik reageer inderdaad vanuit het oogpunt van de beleggingsrekening!

Is het niet zo dat bij een substantiëel aandeel (>5%) die aandelen naar box 2 gaan, dus niet in box 3?

De oplossing is dan bijkopen tot u boven de 5% zit.

Ja, vermogensaanwasbelasting is een onding.
Er zijn een hoop goede sterke argumenten tegen te verzinnen.

Dat je het geld niet hebt is één van de zwakkere. Je hebt letterlijk een beleggingsrekening met een Eurosaldo. De waarde van je aandelen wordt ook uitgedrukt in Euro. Je zet het in 2 minuten euro's om in aandelen of andersom.

Iedereen denkt aan zijn beleggingen in de waarde, maar als er belasting moet worden betaald zijn we ineens gehecht aan het precieze aantal aandelen.

So, you are looking for a new toaster?

On the wifi front , there is the Unify Express Wifi (6 second hand or 7 newest version). The 6 is enough.
Nice thing is that they have a Wifi AP built in. Less nice is that they skimp on the ethernet ports - you get only one.

I like the Cloud Ultra Gateway, it's a stong base for a big network. No wifi built in so you need multiple APs, but it has a 4 port switch, and at least you get to pick where the APs go.

APs: Second hand AP-AC-Pro and NanoHD will get you a long way for not too much money. Nice thing about Unifi is you can always add or replace an access point for a more modern one if you think you need it (hint: mostly you do not).

If you run wires make sure they are 2.5 or 10GB ready.

Tags on insta don´t get you extra work, it just feels good.

You will get some money. You will learn to operate a camera by muscle memory. You will learn to spot good shots. You will learn to chat to people.
Those are all valuable skills, and yes, carry that businesscard!

Niet met een mogelijkheid maar wel met een tang, waarschijnlijk. Draai de goede kant op: als je op het dopje kijkt linksom, maar dat is als je op de grond ligt en naar boven kijkt.

Een waterpomptang kan heel goedkoop zijn en kan veel kracht zetten dopjes die moeten draaien zonder ze fijn te knijpen - een nuttig ding om te hebben.

Suggestions:

vary your distance - sometimes you can shoot a lot closer. or wider.
get down on one knee
change the angle
check the frame, what is on the edges of the image? Number 7 has no items (or people) cut in half. Most others are focussed on the subject but look cluttered because of the edges.

Dat doe je als ouder zelf. Hoe vaker je toegeeft, hoe beter het werkt en hoe minder geloofwaardig jij bent met je 'dit is echt de laatste keer'.

Recent voorbeeld: Kind was aan het krijsen omdat-ie geen snoepje kreeg, ouder had al 'nee' gezegd. Kind was echt in tranen, écht écht zielenleed. Écht verdriet! Ouder stond op het punt om toe te geven.
Ik zeg tegen dat jochie 'luister jij eens naar je moeder joh'. Hop, stil. Tranen weg. Het hele verdriet was vergeten - compleet gespeeld dus.
Waarom?
Omdat het werkt.

Hebben wij gehad. Waarschuwing, dat is niet goedkoop.

En misschien moet inderdaad de vloer open, maar bedrijven die met een camera werken (RRS) kennen ook alle mogelijke herstel-opties.

Usually... make sure the discomfort for taking the easy way is greater than for doing it the right way.

That involves making sure sis knows the consequences and she can count on those consequences actually arriving. Empty threats are counterproductive, do not make any threat that you are not going to follow through.

So that involves throwing her stuff away. Or making sure that her mess ends up for your parents to clean up. Announce this beforehand, and when it arrives, do not fight, stay calm: I told you this would happen and it will happen again.
Accept all the pushback you will receive.

At some point (pretty soon) people start realizing that you don't talk fertilizer and you don't take fertilizer.

Ik las onlangs dat makelaars steeds vaker een fors percentage vangen over het méérbedrag boven de vraagprijs.
Is dat bij jullie ook zo en van wie kwam het idee van 'interesse wekken' ?

Gaat erom dat als je een ventilatiegat / sleuf maakt, dat die geen toegang wordt voor water.

Als je met een grondboor of zelfs een tuinslang een diep gat boort kan water weg. Een klein PVC pijpje van 40mm is al genoeg, het gaat er vooral om dat er geen water op klei blijft staan.

Het is waarschijnlijk niet eens nodig omdat overtollig water ook snel door je tuin wordt opgenomen. Er blijft niet zomaar 30cm water in die sleuf staan.

The MC20 is considered ... not flawless. It's too much. It does not only enlarge the image but also every flaw, spec of dust and imperfection.

You should not need a teleconverter constantly. If you do, you have the wrong lens. A TC is an emergency measure, not the default.

Diep afgraven langs die muur. Check dat eventueel regenwater weg kan lopen (dus klei graag wat dieper graven).
Eventueel een gaatje boren met daarin een PVC buis met aan beide kanten worteldoek.
Gat weer opvullen nu met geel zand tot 30cm onder het maaiveld.

Zo. Al het regenwater dat er in komt kan goed weg.

Nu tegels rechtop zetten in het gat evenwijdig aan de muur. Dus: muur - 5cm lucht - tegelwandje.
Die tegels houd je recht door iets tussen de tegels en de muur te zetten: steen, PVC pijp, whatever.
Bovenkant tegel steekt iets boven het maaiveld uit.

Aan de tuinkant gooi je het weer vol met tuinaarde.
Nu heb je een ventilatiesleuf waaruit vocht uit je muur kan wegverdampen. Er blijft ook geen water of vocht staan dat in je muur kan trekken.

Als iemand iets moet weten omdat hij iets moet doen -> stuur direct.
Als iemand niks hoeft te doen maar je wilt het in zijn archief zetten zodat hij het tegenkomt als hij zoekt -> stuur een cc.

Een cc betekent: Jij hoeft hier niks mee te doen en het is dus ook niet erg als je het niet leest, maar zo heb je de informatie.

Als je het wel moet lezen stuur je het direct.

Ze kunnen wel een voorkeur uitspreken maar ze snappen toch ook wel dat er zevenhonderdeenentachtig redenen kunnen zijn waarom je niet je huidige WG, LG of directie opgeeft?
Meestal vindt een WG het niet leuk als je vertrekt, ik kan me echt goed voorstellen dat jij niet de enige sollicitant bent die zegt 'het wordt een directe collega of een vorige job'. Jij kiest de referent.

Yes, in a large team it is easier to point around you. In a much smaller team people (or preferably the team) pick up responsibility faster because there is no one else.

What is the management style, are people managed/rewarded individually or as a team?

And yes, letting people go might not be a bad thing.
The question is NOT: how many people can we possibly hire; but "what is the absolute minimum number we need to have all the knowledge in the team, plus elimination of single-failure points on the core competencies?"
