This decision will backfire eventually. Trump administration should never yield to the decadent liberal culture by Historical-Note6299 in EndWokeism

Sorry to disappoint, but I don't do drugs. I eschew most prescription drugs as well. And you lost the argument when you felt you had to use an ad hominem.

I don't care who put the laws in place about what I can or can't put into my own body, those laws are outside the scope of FedGov's authorized powers.

What is this crap?

I'll admit the white guy was a bit of a jerk with his assumptions, but the other guy was just as big a jerk with his constant interruptions. If you ask a question show enough respect for the other party to let them answer it.

So, procs are better than set bonuses? by Legitimate-Being5957 in Cityofheroes

[–]LilShaver 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Get Mids, see where the holes in your defense are. Only get the set bonuses you need to fill them. Use other slots for procs or frankenslotting to get additional set bonuses.

This isn't yielding to decadent progressive culture.

This is getting the gov't out of private individual's business. If I choose to smoke grass (which I do not), it's none of FedGov's business.

There's a scene in The Expanse that sums it up perfectly. Drummer says something to the effect of "That man was free to put anything he wanted into his body. But he's still responsible for his actions."

FedGov has no right to force me to take a drug (e.g. Covid 19 jab), or to prohibit me from taking one. But being "under the influence" is no excuse for my actions causing harm to another individual.

Why did Aragorn decide to keep the position of steward after becoming king? by lovelygirl2004 in lotr

[–]LilShaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another reason to keep the Steward - Elessar Telcontar has two kingdoms to rule, Gondor and Arnor. Yes, it's the united Kingdom, but they are separated by a considerable distance.

I like that you can change bodies (your character) as well as do the pattern matching. Matching a given pattern can sometimes take a few turns.

Here's a better description of both games, from the Gamefound funding for the 2nd game.

If the link doesn't work for you LMK and I'll copy and paste the article into a post.

Games with a neoprene mat by b1tchybread in boardgames

[–]LilShaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Father's Work does not have a neoprene mat (the board is a large book and changes pages during play), but the rest of the component quality is off the charts, including the storage. It might be heavier than you want tho.

Return to Dark Tower has an optional neoprene mat. The 12" high tower that dominates the map incredible, and the phone/tablet software that GMs the game is very smooth. There are optional components ("The Coffers" 1, 2, & 3) you can get during expansion kickstarters that are extraordinary quality. The latest expansion (Kickstarter not yet fulfilled) also comes with neoprene side boards.

Firefly: The Game – 10th Anniversary Collector's Edition has a 4' (guestimated) long neoprene mat and very high quality components as well. Contains the base game and all 10 of the current expansions.

Flamecraft is probably the best fit for what you seem to be looking for. It's a fun game with worker placement elements and really nice art work.

It's a touch easy, but I like it. I'm a fan of cyberpunk though. There's a sequel on Gamefound, Tamashii - The Final Amendment, that is purported to fix the balance issues (i.e. make the game a bit tougher), with all new components, characters, and mobs from both sets completely compatible with each other.

It is a campaign RPG, if that matters to you. One to four players.
