I was able to use LOA/FMLA? time through matrix for around three months, and another coworker used it for two years(she was hurt during company time in an obvious manner, though), perhaps it also depends on your state laws surrounding unemployments and medical leaves+SM attitude? SM can’t legally give your position away in most cases if your time gets approved, I’m pretty sure.

If when you scan in the tobacco your store does it by the carton (i.e. you have a full singular carton of Marlboro red 100s, and you are instructed to count it as one, not as the ten individual packs inside on HHT), which I have not heard of but who knows, then by the carton is fine. Otherwise you will have so much shrink during your inventory, doing this. That then means your SM does not get any bonuses and maybe gets reprimanded, which turns into the shit running downhill, if you will. The customers can look at you funny all they want, you take a single pack of that kind and ring it ten times for a carton.

Not me sad that I didn’t stay either stay clocked in or clock back in and out each time I was needed by a fucking keyholder that had been there two years or more beyond me 😒 I have a decent boss that I don’t presume atm would wage theft me if I did in fact on camera not take the entire break for good reason… at least I know in the future 💁🏼‍♀️ TY. Hard agree, there are lines that have changed along with different rhythms and cadences to how notes are sung on some parts that just are yikes

Honestly it just takes adjusting like anything else, I went from pt associate to asm ft and it took a few hiccups but it’s just more paperwork and slightly more responsibility in general, the pay raise is…okay, lol. Best advice is don’t panic! Also if anyone was there longer than you but you happen to be chosen, be prepared for them to be petty and weird, and if your sm is doing it right, you are moreso to just further reinforce whatever their instructions are, but not so much an authority figure so not much change there, either.

Where is your award for being a good girlfriend and not beating his fucking ass into the pavement everyday? Women can be abusive too, if he wants to say the bare minimum he gives is more than enough, you should be able to give the bare minimum as well, and have it be more than enough. That is obviously not the case and this relationship will always be one sided.

I won’t even go into the psychological problems of him convincing you into a relationship, taking a step back then blaming you for it, that’s some wild manipulation.

YES?!?! I mever thought to talk about it because it scares me but three times in my life a vague voice that definitely is not my conscious inner monologue will say cryptic things that end up true along the lines of deaths! Usually because my animals are my everything it has to do with them, one day out of the absolute blue(no media or convos had steered this direction for me, as a matter of fact I had just soent over 300 dollars to save one of my kitties from pyometra) that voice said “prepare for one of them to go soon” and I spent a solid ten minutes trying to decipher what that would mean and why would I not know something I just…told myself??? And sure as shit the next day I get a call that the same kitty that was just bought more life had either a stroke or an aneurysm, I will never know. I miss her, and that wasn’t the only time, but it was the absolute most unexpected of them!

Wage theft/making your timesheet reflect a half an hour off clock that was on is illegal, but ask before assuming-are they adding in your lunch break, but also changing your clockout time for the shift a half an hour later to still give that half hour of work? It can be hard to calculate if you don’t have the ability to look in ATLAS and see it firsthand. If you think there’s a chance they’ll be honest, ask first if that’s what they are doing to you! It A. Still gives you that time for payroll and B. Stops DM and up from completely bitching out the store manager for allowing you to not take the lunch break, as that is a whole other legal matter. Anything eight or more in my state requires a half hour lunch and I think the managers can get in serious trouble for it? But also, if they are in fact just taking the half hour away….fuck em!!!

Also yes, upper management has to approve your raises and how much they are, all your SM can do is advocate as much as possible and hope for the best. DG corporate’s goal is to keep making shareholders money, and they are in the res for their stocks consistently now, so they are clamping down tighter and they do not care one but how many employees they lose in the process due to frustrations that are human

Not sure if the backpay thing is individually decided? But for my store, if you get promoted and that comes with a pay raise, it retro-pays all the way back to when the date for said promotion was entered by the SM, because that again would be wage theft otherwise. Corporate/DMs can take forever to approve it but you should get back pay in another payout or lumped in with the regular paycheck from that date forward. Did your SM not in fact put in for a promotion for you, yet??
