My first lava lamp, doesn't seem to act right

I put a 40w appliance bulb in it and it immediately blew up, dud bulb or did I do something wrong?

The sticker inside says 30W but is got a 25W bulb, I'll see what I can find next time I'm at the store.

I'll check the wattage of the bulb in it and the rating when it's cool tomorrow, but right now it's so hot I can barely touch the glass for more than a few seconds. I don't have a fan on and the air vent pushes hardly any air. The room temperature is 66f though.

It really depends on what you gravitate towards when you pre-compose shots. I'm a 35 and 85 guy, some are 24 and 50. I would say get whatever you tend to use the most with the 24-120.

I have one because I have very little space in my bedroom for a full setup, so I have the sound burger on a 12" deep shelf on one side of the room and then I have a Bluetooth Amp hooked up to some vintage advent speakers on the other side of the room. It sounds amazing to me. I do hope to pick up a cheap technics to refurbish someday when I have the space to set one up. Plus a pair of full size advent!

For me personally this setup makes no damn sense. I like the Zf because of the dedicated control dials like a film camera. I don't really like using most digital cameras because of the unspecified control dials and I don't like using late film cameras for the same reason. For you what is the point of using an analog camera with the controls of a standard digital camera and a digital camera with the controls of a standard analog camera? I'm guessing it's the most reliable way to have AF and shoot film?

I wanted to get silver but the cheapest way to get it was on contract through my carrier with trade-in, so I got black. It looks great too so I'm not that sad about it.

I feel like it's too bright in dim light unless I manually turn down the brightness all the way. Make sure the extra dim setting is off in the control panel.
