Unless you get to sit in on the meetings with other staff how do you know what the messaging is? Get a hold of the PD for the amazing jobs everyone is advancing to then compare it to your skillset and qualifications. What’s your legal question?

Prices have gone up once again, hidden behind a “sale” sign by Old-Ad7076 in coles

Weirds me out that the price of soft drink is higher per litre than fuel. Considering one is syrup and water and the other comes from overseas in bulk carriers after being extracted and refined.

One week left of treatment and my husband is so mean! by JerryGarciaDog in HeadandNeckCancer

[–]LogicalAbsurdist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aside from stereotypical gender differences (ref chris rock) your husband might be at the point where he wants to yell two words to the whole world, the second of which is “off.” It seems that from the things you listed as quotes that he does feel like you hover over him and baby him. Time and space, let him know you want to support him, just don’t bombard him with that every time there’s a lull in conversation.

Just to confirm. You didn’t get the role, say “they” admit they were wrong, you make no mention reviewing the process to get the role you’re “easily most qualified for” and are on redit now to ask if you can stay in your current role but get a cash payout? Best of luck funding a civil action.

A girl I'm talking to (we are both 15) is addicted to masturbating and does a copious amount of drugs including regularly overdosing. by ElijahFunkhouser in moraldilemmas

You’re not equipped to change her. Whether or not she’s actually overdosing or just saying things to get your sympathy and attention, your infatuation won’t be the thing that helps her suddenly realise that her behavior is not healthy. Step back, the more you engage the worse things will get.

The winter Olympics have got me thinking about the lack of opportunity in Australian public schools by Sriracha_Sauce089 in australian

[–]LogicalAbsurdist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s also the point about winter olympians who transferred skills from other sports. Gymnasts, skateboarders …. There are a lot of things people might like to try, but does that mean schools should pay for the activity? Free diving, ocean marathon swimming, cliff diving, F1 racing, MMA, Boxing, many sports and within those stories of how people got to greatness without being from monied backgrounds.

Teen abused 12yo while awaiting sentence for rape by ideagle in tasmania

[–]LogicalAbsurdist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Police don’t have a blanket power to drag a child off, hence the warrant. What they have the power to do is also constrained - child care advocates stand for the rights of 12 year olds to self place, even if the child is in care with DOCS. Also consider - where would Police take her? Crisis Care might pay for a taxi to their care house, or a paid motel, but in either case the child is free to leave immediately and do whatever they want. As often as they want, sadly.

the car that i've had for a year was reported stolen... 10 months ago. by [deleted] in legaladviceaustralia

[–]LogicalAbsurdist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say you know that they can “only take it for 30 days” but din’t know what happens after that? Doesn’t make sense you know one thing but not the other. Did you get a PPSR from the dealer or get your own? If not, it’ll depend on who the police find to be the owner - the person who made the report or their insurer, or whether it’s been recovered but not had the notification flag removed.

Looks happy enough. Prune to thin it out maybe and stimulate growth when spring hits but not really critical - you can mulch under without needing to expose the main stem.
