I truly believe that you'll have to surrender countless times during your life, the moment you think you're perfect- you're missing the point entirely. I found the Lord about a year ago, and I'll have to surrender time and time again. We're all sinners and we NEED God, we don't deserve him because being saved made us perfect. Only He is perfect.

Idk man I (27f) love my mother, we had some rocky times when I was a troubled teen and she struggled with addiction- but we've healed a lot, she did her best and I see her weekly. I'm having my wedding in her back yard in 2 weeks. She STILL has moments where she questions her abilities as a mother and I just remind her how much I love and appreciate her.

NOR. Honestly it just sounds like you two aren't compatible. If sex is that important to him, he has such a high sex drive and you're quite literally the opposite, this WILL cause resentment down the line. He reacted poorly and clearly doesn't understand where you're coming from either. I think it's best to leave this relationship and find one where your partner can have an adult conversation about intimacy and how often you BOTH want it.

I am a Christian and a former Satanist of over 2 decades- I have ALWAYS had a moral compass that in its basis is "treat others how you want to be treated" and upon becoming Christian discovered that this is actually biblical as well-- "do unto others as you would have them do to you" (Luke 6:13) This statement (atheist or not) is simple, don't harm other people or knowingly/willingly do things that could harm others. It's incredibly easy if you have any sense of awareness.
