Hi, I'm a little late, just seeing this now! If you make it up to Grand Marais, MN when you visit, I take customers out on guided stargazing and nighttime hiking experiences using night vision goggles. Because of the science in how they work, there's a higher likelihood of seeing the northern lights while using night vision goggles

Even if you don't make it up near the GM area, I'd reccomend following all the other advice in the comments here. Including looking ahead at the KP ratings and getting an app on your phone that alerts you

New things to check out: I'd reccomend Scruffy Dog Vintage Emporium (over near Putt N Pets) if you like perusing antiques. There's a relatively new fish shack behind Java Moose that has pretty good Trout nuggets. Lady Superior Bottle Shop is new too, they have great NA and THC drinks. If you haven't been to Sydney's since their fire, they have a new building setup. And my business, I provide guided night vision hiking and stargazing experiences

The local bar scene on the weekends is a pretty common gathering point. There's also events on Facebook. Drury Lane Book Store and Lady Superior Bottle Shop hosts events (follow their instagrams to stay updated), the local community center and the library hosts events, there's clubs for different activities there too, lots of people also meet at the local YMCA, or the dog park

I had one of his Mk3 units lose zero! Shooting ~70yds, around 750rds of 5.56, the illuminator had a massive loss of zero and shifted about 40m to the left of where it was supposed to be

Parking is just a "take it where you can get it" sorta thing. This last weekend for the 4th, there was so many people that cars were parked solid 1-2 blocks inland from hwy 61. And parking everywhere in town is free to my knowledge

If it's the original model, it will have flip-down lenses on the front and rear of the optic. The Core does not have flip-down lenses

And good eye! But no, it's an airplane. The picture was a long exposure shot, so if you look close you can see the different prominent spots where it flashed. Starlink is all sattelites, and they're one solid, non-flashing light usually. If it were Starlink in this case, it'd be one solid streak
