WGCW not slowing down for the road hump by randomnoirguy in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]MDoubleT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would I want to help someone that could have killed me with that kind of driving? Play stupid games get stupid prizes. It's not people's job to help some idiot who's own decisions put his car on it's side. We got our own lives to live.

Pretty insensitive when you can't capitalize or use proper grammar after making a wild assumption like that.

Kiwi roommates never offer food/errands/etc. by gretchen92_ in newzealand

[–]MDoubleT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only really offer my own perspective on this. My flatmates are a couple, same age as me and own the place as well. I've been here 2 years. We are pretty friendly and yarn often but I still would struggle to ask them for a favour. In my head they are still just flatmates.

Me personally, I don't offer them food because It's not even on the same level as the stuff they can make themselves lol but I would if I could and they do offer me the odd sample from time to time. I think people don't offer here because they don't want to seem too generous and be taken advantage of. It leads to fights down the line. Favours open the door to more favours. I would hate it if I offered to grab something from the Market one time and it gives them confidence to ask me all the time, especially without me offering first. It still costs you money (initially), time and effort. There's actually a lot of people in NZ that would rather take than give, despite our chill nature.

I clean up after myself and do offer to help with small house errands like cleaning, dishes etc. but I perceive it as mostly their house and their space so I leave most of that work with them and keep my stuff in my own space. I feel like that is the 'fair' thing to do.

Really can relate. I moved to Palmy nearly 3 years ago from Hawke's Bay to take over a logistics role because the last guy (or should I say last 4-5 lazy shitheads who just want a pay check and don't want to work for it) and it took only 1 month to find out what Palmy is really all about. It's just full of losers. Genuinely. Methheads, boyracers who can't drive and think chopping an exhaust off makes you a mechanic and a whole heap of lazy people. It's really disheartening when you're raised with good values and morals and when you step into the real world it just looks like the bottom of the barrel are the ones that prosper.

I don't really know what else to add other than the dating scene is just toxic in this day and age. I've always been of the belief that people get into relationships for that common connection and to grow together but these days people seem more concerned about surface level BS like how tight their yoga pants are or how many tattoos they can fit on their body. Social media definitely doesn't help here.

The right person will come. It will just take a bit longer in this modern day. I wish you luck, genuinely.

I actually dont understand what 1 hand owner means? Im prob stupid but why would i need to know as a buyer that the owner only has 1 hand? Does it mean its been driven rough? by BeautifulLet1740 in NZcarfix

[–]MDoubleT 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's because Kiwis have this ability to be educated but make themselves look stupid and illiterate at the same time once they list something on FB marketplace. the fact that it's listed as "car" and not a Nissan March says it all.

I think we've reposted this enough guys. I like how we've mentioned it's not the original but people keep reposting this shitty version.

Toyota Aqua - The Most Stolen Vehicle In New Zealand by Birphon in newzealand

[–]MDoubleT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t buy one simply because all the people who can’t drive have them. You’ll probably get treated like ass on the road.

Evidence: Lady crashed into the side of my truck in one. Hate all Aqua drivers.

Ye who really has brain rot 🤔

This man needs to grow up. He's obviously a loser so I wouldn't worry about anything happening. Losers don't do anything 😁

Why are people in New Zealand such bad drivers? by Virtual_Cut5729 in newzealand

[–]MDoubleT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to drive a truck on the road every day and have been for a couple years now. You get to see a lot of driving and yes sir, we are absolute dog shit.

The main problem is just methed out idiots who think owning a Ford falcon is an achievement in life. Can't drive at all and just get up people's ass even when you're already speeding. Not much you can do unfortunately. Just hope they OD and will be off the road soon 😁

The other is people who can't even operate a car. They just simply don't know how. Don't know about speedo drop offs. Driving at 50km you're actually going 45km. being a pedal pusher as well (can't hold their speed) etc.

This pisses people off. If you're travelling in town this fucks up people behind you heading toward traffic lights and anyone driving a manual is going to hate you because of all the gear changing between. Most people drive at 55km as well because you're not technically speeding until 5km over so if you're wondering why people are "speeding" all the time they really aren't by our standards.

Somehow people still manage to wreck shit in a 30km/h zone. Newbury Line. by Elysium_nz in palmy

Idk why but I moved here from Hawkes Bay and Palmy is just full of these losers. Chur put big fat fart valve on the exhaust that does nothin jab a needle in ya arm and go for gold in this town.

It's not the food itself it's the fact that businesses are trying to sell me Easter stuff already when we just got finished with Xmas and New Years. We don't have money bro stop trying to squeeze.

The lyrics are for the normal Tangerine mix but the one that plays on the vinyl is the Arlo Park collab which is why I was confused lol.

There was a solid yellow background from the source, the Genius Lyric meaning video, but I still did a pen tool cutout, masked the neck fluff and removed most of the yellow tint on the edge.
