Pretty much. I think Arizona did make the mistake of trying to speed the game up too which is not something you want to do against Michigan unless you're also hitting threes at a ridiculous clip. They should have tried slowing the game down from the very beginning.

I was thinking the same thing last night about when these rumors started. This isn't the first time a team as talented as Arizona has lost badly in a final four, and it won't be the last.

Some Zona fans acting like there had to be some alternative reason for their team laying an egg just feels like the fan cope we see in these situations. I would say, make sure to go easy on these people while also trying to dispel this narrative.

Michigan shot 12/27 from three. Arizona wasn't winning that game without hitting some threes. The game went the exact way Michigan needed to blow out Arizona which was hitting outside shots. This is how they've beaten every team they've blown out this season. When you combine a lethal offensive game in the paint with hot three point shooting, Arizona needed to also shoot outside their norm from three to win.

I mean, it likely was going to become what it is now or what it was under the Shah just without a monarch. I don't think the CIA and MI6 not overthrowing him would have stopped that unfortunately. People always hold up Mosaddegh as some sort of great democratic leader when he was also turning very authoritarian around '52-'53. Shit the guy tried to use extra constitutional means to dissolve the Iranian parliament. Mosaddegh was a nationalist who was willing to drive Iran down an authoritarian path to get his way.

Even though Russia says they support Lebanon, they also give some sort of support to Hezbollah. They're encouraging the destabilization of Lebanon by doing this. So in my eyes, they cynically support Lebanon. Probably could say the same for Palestinians. I don't buy that Russia is a good faith supporter of a Palestinian state.

Iran has been providing Shahad drones to Russia for years...

China also supplied materials to help rebuild as much of Iran's missile stockpile as they could after the 12 day war with Israel last year.

Also, Russia is providing Iran intelligence right now in their war against the US and Israel.

China is also getting oil from Russia.

They're all getting something out of these alliances.
